The hotel is spotlessly clean and incredibly practical—perfect for a quick, comfortable stay. The shower pressure was outstanding, making for a refreshing morning rinse. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, offering a great start to the day. Staff were attentive and went above and beyond to address all our questions and needs—truly helpful and warm-hearted. Located in a convenient area, it's easy to get around Bogotá, whether by public transit or on foot. Overall, this place offers excellent value and a genuinely pleasant experience. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
One Fourteen Rooms
The location of One Fourteen Rooms is fairly convenient, with easy access to downtown Bogotá via public transit, but the overall condition of the property is quite disappointing. The rooms feel outdated, and the furnishings are worn and in need of replacement. The bathroom was particularly underwhelming—dirty, with visible mold around the fixtures and a poorly maintained floor. Everything gives off an old, neglected vibe, and the lack of upkeep really affects the experience. For the price, this isn’t a good value at all. If the hotel doesn’t invest in renovations and proper cleaning standards, it’s unlikely to attract repeat guests or positive reviews.
North House Hostel

However, there are a few drawbacks: no kitchen facilities, which limits self-catering options, and only one shared bathroom for the entire ground floor—this can get crowded during peak times. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly stopover with good access to food and transport. Just keep in mind the lack of privacy and basic amenities if you're expecting more comfort.

The beds were brand new and incredibly comfortable, with fluffy pillows that made for a restful night’s sleep—something I really needed since I’m a light sleeper. The location is fantastic: close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful at night, which was perfect. The restaurant serves excellent food, especially the fish—it was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. My only small suggestion? Please don’t start room cleaning too early in the morning—some of us are not early risers! Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. Clean, quiet, well-located, and great value. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay in Bogotá.

Chapinorte Bogota
We stayed at Chapinorte Bogota on three separate occasions in December 2012 and January 2013, and it quickly became like a second home to us. Antonio, the owner, is truly exceptional—always attentive, genuinely warm, and such a fun person to chat with. His English is excellent, making communication effortless. We stayed in a private double room with an en-suite bathroom, first on the upper floor, then on the lower level for our next two visits—both were comfortable and peaceful. The hostel is located within a quiet residential building complex, offering a safe and welcoming atmosphere. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen, plus thoughtful extras like a local info desk and a book exchange corner. If you're looking to explore Bogotá while still enjoying a cozy, secure place to rest, this is exactly the kind of spot you need. We can’t recommend it highly enough. And one little highlight we almost forgot: breakfast delivered right to our room once—pure luxury! Antonio, we’ve yet to find another place that matches the charm and care you offer.
