Staying at 22 Chester Street was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a 5-minute walk to the tram stop, making it super easy to explore Edinburgh. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a modern bathroom that felt luxurious. The host was incredibly friendly and even allowed us to store our luggage for the day, which made our travel plans so much more relaxed. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered. This place offers incredible value and charm—definitely my top pick in Edinburgh and I’ll be back without hesitation.
We stayed at Falcon Crest Guest House during August to attend the Military Tattoo and the Fringe Festival, and it was an absolutely perfect choice. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming—they shared so much helpful local insight, from bus routes to nearby attractions, making our trip stress-free. The guest house is about a 30-minute pleasant walk to the city center, with just a gentle uphill stretch in the final 10 minutes—nothing too demanding. Right at the top of the street, there’s a bus stop with regular service into town for only £2 each way—a fantastic value option. For those who love outdoor exploration, there’s a scenic walking and cycling path right beside the property (the Ferry Road Path), which we followed for about 30 minutes to reach the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith, then took the tram back into Edinburgh—again, just £2. Our double room on the top floor was cozy and immaculate: clean, well-equipped with a shower, TV, tea and coffee setup, and even a sweet treat of homemade shortbread. The bed was super comfortable, and the room felt peaceful and inviting. We ordered breakfast the next morning—it was huge and delicious: cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bacon, eggs (perfectly cooked!), sausages, beans, rolls, and toast. I actually switched to a smaller portion because it was so generous! Overall, this place hits all the right notes—friendly hosts, great location, excellent transport access, and a real home-away-from-home vibe. If you're looking for a quiet yet convenient base near the action, this is a top recommendation. Definitely planning to come back.
Staying at Eliza House was a fantastic choice for my trip to Edinburgh. The location right next to Haymarket station is unbeatable—just a short walk from trains and airport buses, making travel super convenient. The building itself has a charming old-world vibe with character and warmth. My only minor complaint was that the shower never seemed to deliver hot water, but aside from that, I absolutely loved the place. It’s cozy, well-located, and offers great value. Definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Edinburgh who wants a quiet, authentic stay without the hassle.
This place truly exceeded my expectations! Right in the heart of Edinburgh, it's just a short walk from the Royal Mile and only minutes away from the castle—perfect for exploring on foot. The hotel has such a stylish, modern vibe with an elegant lobby and thoughtfully designed rooms. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, even offering a little welcome gift upon check-in. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the room was quiet and well-insulated—no noise at all during the night. Breakfast was fantastic: fresh fruit, homemade pastries, and perfectly cooked eggs. I can't recommend this hotel enough if you're visiting Edinburgh. It’s a top-tier experience with outstanding value. Would absolutely stay here again.
Staying at The Roseate Edinburgh was a truly memorable experience. While it didn’t stand out dramatically over our previous night’s accommodation, the unique charm of being housed within a historic castle made all the difference. The atmosphere is quiet and serene—perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring the city. Rooms were clean, well-appointed, and surprisingly peaceful, with excellent sound insulation. The surrounding area is pleasant too—cozy cafés, local shops, and easy access to public transport make getting around hassle-free. It’s not just a place to sleep; it feels like stepping into a story. Great value, great location, and an unforgettable stay overall.
Staying at The Bonham was an excellent experience overall. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the city center and well-connected by public transit. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with modern touches. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was impressive with fresh options including made-to-order eggs—perfect for starting the day. One downside was the 12.5% fee applied to all purchases made through the platform, which felt a bit unexpected and not clearly communicated upfront. Still, despite that, the quality of the hotel, service, and value for money made it worth it. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again.
This Hapimag Resort in Edinburgh was an absolute delight—far beyond what I expected from a city known for pricey accommodations. Located just west of Princes Street, it’s incredibly walkable to shops and attractions, and there’s a fantastic Vietnamese pho spot right nearby that I ended up visiting twice. The room was a spacious suite with a generous seating area, a dedicated wardrobe, and an impressive bathroom—large, immaculate, and beautifully designed, complete with a relaxing whirlpool tub. Despite being on the second basement level, the room had a lovely view of a small hillside and even caught stunning sunset views through the window. It felt bright and airy, not at all damp or gloomy like some other hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was plush and comfortable, the vanity was practical, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. The hotel’s interior is wonderfully vintage with artwork from various countries and elegant porcelain displays—truly unique and full of character. Staff were courteous and flexible, always ready to assist. Breakfast isn’t included, but you can pre-order pastries delivered to your room—a nice convenience. Entry requires a key card, which adds a great sense of security. Only note: front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so try to check in earlier if possible—though they’ll leave a contact number if you’re arriving late. With only 30 suites, this place fills up fast—book ahead! Overall, it’s a hidden gem with exceptional style, comfort, and value. A truly memorable stay.
I can't recommend this place enough. Nestled in the charming Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh, it's just a 20-minute walk through the peaceful Meadow to the city centre—perfect for a relaxed stroll. The property sits at the end of a beautiful row of classic Edinburgh terraced homes and comes with four to five dedicated parking spaces, which is a huge plus. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated in a stylish Anglo-French-Scottish blend that truly reflects the taste of the owner, Lydie—a French native who’s now a proud long-time resident of Scotland. My room was spacious, thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable, generously sized bed, a cozy sofa, and a small window-side table ideal for two. The ensuite bathroom was perfectly sized, and the shower delivered strong, consistently hot water—just what you need after a long day. The entire home was spotless, down to the smallest detail. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable cleanliness and unique character, I’d absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
Staying at the voco Edinburgh - Haymarket was a perfect balance between city convenience and peaceful retreat. The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk from major attractions and a quick subway ride away, yet the rooms are remarkably quiet—thanks to the windows that open slightly and the whisper-quiet air conditioning. Everything in the room felt clean and thoughtfully equipped: tea bags, biscuits, coffee, and even chocolate drinks were available. They even provided slippers in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. The view from the window was stunning, offering a beautiful glimpse of the city skyline. Breakfast was fantastic—plenty of options, including boiled eggs, and authentic Scottish specialties that truly stood out. Dinner was equally impressive, so much so that I decided to have a meal there right before heading to the airport. When I had any questions, the front desk staff responded promptly and with great care. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If I ever return to Edinburgh, I’d absolutely book here again.

Plus, major attractions like St. Giles Cathedral and the Royal Mile are all within a 10-minute walk, perfect for exploring on foot. Staying at Tynecastle Park Hotel was a delightful experience from start to finish. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. Despite being a bit outside the city center, getting to major attractions like Princes Street is easy—just a 20-minute bus ride away, and buses run frequently. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was the excellent value for money; you get a high-quality stay without the premium price tag. Staying at Village Hotel Edinburgh for three nights was an absolute delight. The location is super convenient—just a short metro ride into the city center, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful sleep every night. I especially appreciated the 24-hour fitness center—it's well-equipped and perfect for early morning workouts or late-night sessions. The on-site bar has a cozy, inviting vibe with soft background music, making it a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
