The hotel is directly across from a large REWE supermarket, which makes grocery shopping super convenient. The S8 train station is just a short walk through the park behind the hotel—just make sure you’re heading in the right direction; it’s only a few stops to the old opera house during the day. However, avoid walking through the park at night for safety reasons. While there’s no free airport transfer, no kettle, and no laundry service, they do offer free luggage storage, plus complimentary lemon water and apples—small touches that make a big difference. For a trip to Heidelberg, I booked a bus ticket via the platform, choosing to board at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) with pickup at Terminal 1’s parking area—just a quick 5-minute walk from the arrival level. The bus drops you right at Heidelberg Train Station, where the bus stop is just around the corner. I bought a one-day public transit pass at the tram tracks near the station entrance using cash or card—perfect for getting around town. All major sights, including the castle, are within easy reach. Overall, this was a great stay with excellent value and convenience.
