We were completely surprised when our standard room was upgraded to a premium king room at no extra cost—what an amazing welcome! The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. One of the highlights was the sky lounge on the top floor; the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food offerings are delicious and well worth trying. Breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes. From check-in to checkout, every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This stay exceeded all expectations—highly recommend and definitely planning to return!

The hotel is fantastic—great ambiance, excellent service, and super convenient location. Just a short walk to Malioboro Central Point and surrounded by amazing local eateries, making it easy to explore on foot every day. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was top-notch. The only downside was the food quality, which could be improved. But honestly, with such a prime location and great value, I’d definitely stay here again.

I'm not sure if I'd come back to this guesthouse in the future—there are definitely some positives, but also a few things that left me a bit unsure. On the bright side, the location is excellent: just a 10-minute walk from the Sultan's Palace and Taman Sari, and about 15–20 minutes to Malioboro Street, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The place has recently been renovated, so the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, which was a big plus. However, there are some drawbacks worth noting. First, they only accept married couples. After booking, the staff messaged my husband asking who would be sharing the room, but at check-in, no marriage certificate was requested. If you're not married, it’s best to confirm this policy before booking—otherwise, you might face issues. Also, the front desk closes at midnight, and they don’t leave keys for the main gate, so you must make sure to get back before then—no second chances. Breakfast is delivered straight to your room at your preferred time. While the price is very low, the offering is pretty minimal: just a small basket with an egg, a little fries, a banana, and a tangerine—felt a bit underwhelming for what it costs. Lastly, during check-out, they always go into the room to inspect it before letting you leave. It’s not the first time I’ve experienced this, but it did give me a slightly uneasy feeling—like being overly monitored. Overall, it’s a decent option with good value and a great location, but the policies and attention to detail could use some refinement.

Breakfast is simple but authentic, with local flavors that give it character. A bit of spice might be noticeable, so if you’re sensitive to strong tastes, it’s worth noting. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful throughout your stay. One thing to keep in mind: there are six mosques nearby, and the call to prayer happens four times daily—starting as early as 5:30 AM and ending around 6 PM. If you're light-sleeping, this could be a consideration. But overall, the location, comfort, and warm hospitality more than make up for it. Highly recommended for travelers who want a quiet yet central base in Yogyakarta.
