Staying at Galaxy Iraklio Hotel was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed with modern amenities—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great restaurants and local shops. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly, attentive service—always smiling and ready to help. I especially loved the slow-roasted lamb—it was tender, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. The island has so much to offer in terms of food, culture, and scenery, and this hotel makes it even easier to enjoy it all. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with excellent value, this is definitely one of the top choices on Crete.
Evangelia Residenza, Elegant Stay in Herakleion!
This was a great base for our trip to Herakleion — spacious, well-located, and thoughtfully laid out. The apartment has three bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen, and a comfortable living area that made it feel like home. While we didn’t get a chance to use the small outdoor space, it’s there if you want some fresh air. Air conditioning in every main room is a big plus, especially during Crete’s hot months, and having a washer-dryer combo is a real convenience. It’s a 10–15 minute walk to the heart of the city, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, shops, and local charm. Check-in was seamless — we received a code in advance, so no need to meet anyone or wait around. The property manager was responsive by text, which was helpful. That said, two things stood out: the mattresses were extremely firm, which might not suit everyone, especially those with back issues. More importantly, the Wi-Fi was barely usable — it dropped constantly and made streaming or even browsing frustrating. This really needs attention. Despite these drawbacks, we’d stay again if the internet issue were fixed. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort and value in a central location.

The location of Ezith Luxury Apartments is perfect for a relaxing getaway, just a short distance from Heraklion's city center with independent entrance access for privacy. While having some form of transportation is necessary to explore the area, I rented a scooter which made getting around incredibly convenient—perfect for spontaneous adventures. The pool area is outstanding: spacious sun loungers and an outdoor shower add to the resort-like vibe. It’s quiet, well-maintained, and offers a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend this place for travelers who value comfort, convenience, and a serene atmosphere.

My one-night stay at Lavris City Suites in Heraklion was absolutely delightful. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the city’s historic landmark, the Koules Fortress, and only a few minutes away from the airport by taxi or public transit. I didn’t get around to taking photos of the property (my bad!), but the room was spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the bathroom was clean and stylish. What truly stood out was the front desk staff—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. For travelers looking for convenience, cleanliness, and great service in a central location, this is an excellent choice. I’d definitely recommend staying at Domus Ariadne if you want to be in the heart of Heraklion. The area might feel a bit off-putting at first glance due to its location, but it’s actually very safe and well-maintained. There are plenty of restaurants and local shops just a short walk away—perfect for evening strolls or grabbing a quick bite. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with charming balcony spaces where you can relax and enjoy the view. Each room even comes with a private balcony, making it a great spot to unwind after a day exploring. If you’re planning to rent a car, be aware that parking can be tricky—the streets are narrow and often crowded, so finding a spot right in front of the hotel is hit-or-miss. Luckily, there are paid parking options nearby. Special mention goes to Giannis—he made our stay truly memorable. He was incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and always ready to help whenever we had questions. As two women traveling alone in a new country, his kindness and attentiveness made us feel safe and welcomed throughout our visit.

Being just a short walk from the city center is a huge plus—everything you’d want is within easy reach on foot. The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help. The only minor downside is if you’re arriving by car: the narrow streets make parking tricky, and there’s limited space nearby. There is a paid parking garage on the main road leading into the alleyways, but it’s not super close to the hotel. It would’ve been helpful if the hotel had mentioned this detail during booking or check-in. Overall, though, this place offers an exceptional experience—great location, beautiful design, and excellent service. I’d definitely stay here again.

Located just 200 meters from the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, it’s incredibly convenient—right outside, you can catch a bus to Knossos Palace for only 5 euros round-trip. My room was fantastic: spotless bathroom, a small balcony perfect for morning coffee, and great overall ambiance. The only downside? It’s near the main road, so nighttime traffic noise can be noticeable if you’re a light sleeper. Also, while not directly on the beach, the sea view is a bit of a stretch—still, the location makes up for it. Everything you’d expect in a well-run boutique stay: a kettle, complimentary bottled water, and top-notch breakfast. I literally couldn’t finish all the food—so generous! And the coffee? Hands down the best I’ve had in years—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. If I ever return to Heraklion, this will be my first choice again.

To our delight, we were unexpectedly upgraded to a room with an amazing view, which made our stay truly unforgettable.
