Capsis Astoria Heraklion
Staying at this hotel in the heart of Heraklion was a fantastic experience—its central location makes it super convenient for exploring the city, whether you're heading to shops or museums. The room layout is unique with the sink placed in the bedroom area, which works well for quick morning routines. However, one thing that stood out was the bathroom setup: the shower and toilet areas aren’t fully separated, so after a shower, water would spread all over the floor. It’s a bit risky and not very practical. I’d highly recommend installing a proper door or glass partition between the shower and toilet zones for better safety and hygiene. Despite this small drawback, the hotel excels in location, cleanliness, and overall value. It’s definitely a great choice if you’re looking for comfort and convenience in the city center.
Evangelia Residenza, Elegant Stay in Herakleion!
This was a great base for our trip to Herakleion — spacious, well-located, and thoughtfully laid out. The apartment has three bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen, and a comfortable living area that made it feel like home. While we didn’t get a chance to use the small outdoor space, it’s there if you want some fresh air. Air conditioning in every main room is a big plus, especially during Crete’s hot months, and having a washer-dryer combo is a real convenience. It’s a 10–15 minute walk to the heart of the city, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, shops, and local charm. Check-in was seamless — we received a code in advance, so no need to meet anyone or wait around. The property manager was responsive by text, which was helpful. That said, two things stood out: the mattresses were extremely firm, which might not suit everyone, especially those with back issues. More importantly, the Wi-Fi was barely usable — it dropped constantly and made streaming or even browsing frustrating. This really needs attention. Despite these drawbacks, we’d stay again if the internet issue were fixed. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort and value in a central location.

The location is incredibly easy to find—just follow the slope along the exterior wall of the Archaeological Museum after getting off the bus, and you’ll arrive right at the door. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with a clean, inviting feel. Front desk services and breakfast are located in the main building across the street, while dinner is served on the fourth floor. They offer a choice of three courses, and the meal quality was solid. The dining area has great views of the Venetian Fortress and the harbor—especially beautiful at sunset. One small note: drinks are à la carte and paid for at the time of ordering, but that’s a minor detail. Overall, the experience was excellent, and the value for money is outstanding. I’d definitely stay here again.

Located right in the heart of Heraklion, everything is within walking distance: restaurants, shops, attractions, and public transport. Whether traveling solo, as a couple, or on a work trip, this place offers the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and charm. It’s rare to find such a well-curated stay with such genuine hospitality. I’d highly recommend it—and I’ll definitely be back.

The entrance to Olympic Hotel is a bit tricky to find, but since the island is small and Heraklion's city center is compact, getting around is really convenient once you're on-site. Just ask locals or hotel staff for directions—they’ll guide you right to the entrance without any hassle. The value for money is outstanding, and the location makes it easy to explore nearby attractions by foot or public transport. I was impressed by how well-connected everything was, making this stay both comfortable and practical. Definitely recommend for travelers looking for a great balance between affordability and convenience.
Deodonum Luxury Apartments
We booked this apartment four weeks in advance for our arrival on August 19th at 3 PM and received a confirmation via email. Just 30 minutes before check-in, at 2:30 PM, we called to inform them we’d be arriving at 4 PM instead — only to be told our reservation had already been canceled with no prior notice. The cancellation was confirmed at 1:58 PM, leaving us stranded with no support or compensation. This lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable, especially so close to check-in time. We were left scrambling for alternative accommodations with zero assistance. Extremely disappointing experience — not only did we lose our booking, but we also faced significant stress and inconvenience. I cannot recommend this property to anyone.

This hotel is an absolute gem! Located just 200 meters from the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, it’s incredibly convenient—right outside, you can catch a bus to Knossos Palace for only 5 euros round-trip. My room was fantastic: spotless bathroom, a small balcony perfect for morning coffee, and great overall ambiance. The only downside? It’s near the main road, so nighttime traffic noise can be noticeable if you’re a light sleeper. Also, while not directly on the beach, the sea view is a bit of a stretch—still, the location makes up for it. Everything you’d expect in a well-run boutique stay: a kettle, complimentary bottled water, and top-notch breakfast. I literally couldn’t finish all the food—so generous! And the coffee? Hands down the best I’ve had in years—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. If I ever return to Heraklion, this will be my first choice again.
City Life Port Hotel
Stayed just one night and already can't stop raving about this place! The hotel is incredibly convenient—right next to the ferry port, with plenty of restaurants, pharmacies, and a major bus station all within walking distance. I didn’t need to rely on taxis at all; everything was super accessible. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and supportive, and the overall atmosphere felt cozy and well-maintained. It’s perfect for travelers who value location and simplicity without sacrificing comfort. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Heraklion looking for a stress-free base. Great value, great vibes, and an excellent experience in just one night.

The island has so much to offer in terms of food, culture, and scenery, and this hotel makes it even easier to enjoy it all. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with excellent value, this is definitely one of the top choices on Crete.

If you're dreaming of visiting Crete, this is the place you absolutely must stay at. Yes, it takes a bit of travel from Korea—bus transfers involved—but everything along the way is well-organized, with convenient stopovers, comfortable accommodations, and a great breakfast experience. The whole journey feels seamless and rewarding. Plus, the price is incredibly fair for what you get. I’d definitely come back here on any future trip to Crete—it’s truly a top choice.

The staff greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile right from the moment we arrived—such a nice touch! To our delight, we were unexpectedly upgraded to a room with an amazing view, which made our stay truly unforgettable. Waking up to the natural light pouring through the windows and overlooking the historic surroundings was simply magical. The location is perfect—close enough to explore downtown Heraklion yet quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. Public transportation is just steps away, making it easy to get around. This hotel offers incredible value and charm, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Crete.
