Lately, my go-to has been the Executive Room at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center, and it’s quickly become my cherished weekend ritual. Sure, the room is more compact compared to other luxury hotels, but the view of the Liangma River from the window makes every moment feel special—so serene, so picturesque, I can’t help but linger by the window. The highlight? The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner. The food is exceptional—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and far beyond what you’d expect at many five-star properties. On New Year’s Day, I was delighted to see service staff Feng Xiangchao again. He remembered my preference for warm dishes and kindly heated up the seafood before serving—such thoughtful attention to detail. The next day, another team member, He Xu, took time to recommend the best desserts and gently reminded parents to watch the kids—small things that show how genuinely care about guests’ comfort. During dinner, I met a couple with their child, who shared they also make it a habit to visit a luxury hotel every weekend. After trying several places, they keep coming back to Kempinski—not just for the food or rooms, but because of the warmth, the genuine hospitality, and that sense of home. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a sanctuary. A place where stress melts away, and memories are made. This year, we’ve already booked our Lunar New Year stay. While some of the facilities feel a bit dated and the appliances are on the smaller side, the overall ambiance still carries that nostalgic charm reminiscent of the old Yu She Hotel—really unique and special. I booked with executive perks, and the service on the executive floor was outstanding: attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful. The lounge offers a refined selection of food and drinks—simple but high quality. I had dinner out with friends, so I didn’t get to try the evening cocktail hour yet, but I’ll definitely come back for that next time. Parking is charged, but you can collect multiple parking vouchers, which is a nice touch. The front desk also provided clear, helpful reminders throughout my stay. I’m really excited to see how the property evolves after its upcoming upgrade into the Taikoo Place experience!

The location makes it ideal for both business travelers and tourists. Even though it’s part of the Metropark brand, guests can still earn IHG Rewards points and enjoy member benefits—a nice perk many might not expect. The hotel has a bit of vintage character in its design, but it’s far from outdated; rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with Balmain amenities that add a touch of luxury. The scent of the toiletries is subtle yet refreshing. Most impressively, every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s an experience worth repeating.
