When I arrived at the front desk at 11:45 AM to check out, the staff member there reacted coldly, scolding me for not checking out on time. He mentioned potential extra charges for staying past 12:00, though he eventually waived them—but his tone remained unfriendly. When I asked about my complimentary VIP drinks, instead of offering a simple explanation or a smile, he quickly scanned my card and pointed silently toward the bar with no courtesy. The stark contrast between the two interactions left me feeling uncomfortable and undervalued. A little kindness—a thank you, a smile, even a brief inquiry about how my stay was—could have made all the difference. It’s disappointing when such a great property is let down by a single negative interaction. Hope the team can work on consistency in guest service, because hospitality isn’t just about amenities—it’s about respect and human connection.

I did have to pay €15 for overnight parking, but given how central the hotel is and the excellent amenities, it’s totally worth it. If you’re visiting Marseille, this is definitely a top choice.

The breakfast was decent—not fancy, but satisfying and well-balanced. For airport transfers, taxis are readily available and can pull up almost directly at the entrance. Using Bolt to the airport cost around €30–40, and since we left early in the morning with no traffic, the ride took just 30 minutes. One small downside? No safe or mini-fridge in the room—something that would’ve made things more comfortable. Still, overall, this hotel exceeded expectations, especially for travelers who prioritize location, safety, and ease of access. Highly recommended.

The bathroom didn’t come with hand towels or a hairdryer—both had to be requested at reception and returned immediately. If you wanted to keep the dryer, you had to leave your ID as collateral, which felt a bit odd. Our bed was very noisy and stiff, and the pillows were overly soft with no shape, so they weren’t great for comfort. If you’re sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, avoid weekends—the building is right above bars and restaurants, and even with double-glazed windows, street sounds carried through clearly. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is fair for a budget stay, but the rooms are definitely basic. It’s best suited for travelers looking for a simple, no-frills overnight option rather than a relaxing retreat.
