The room was impeccably cleaned twice daily, yet I never saw the housekeeping staff, which speaks volumes about how seamless their work is. The library is a hidden gem—calm, elegant, and perfect for unwinding. Staff were incredibly helpful, especially one team member named Xiaoqi Sun who went above and beyond to help me recover a lost piece of jewelry. So grateful! Several restaurant staff spoke fluent Chinese, making communication smooth and stress-free. The club lounge staff were warm and attentive too. My only note: there’s a persistent gasoline smell near the second-floor entrance, where staff often stand guard. It’s not just unpleasant—it’s concerning for their well-being. I sincerely hope this gets addressed during the upcoming renovation. Otherwise, this hotel is absolutely perfect.

The location is unbeatable: the hotel connects directly to underground walkways leading to Ebisu Garden Place and the subway station. From here, getting to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, or simply strolling around the neighborhood is incredibly easy. Whether you're exploring the city or just relaxing nearby, everything feels within reach. It's clear this hotel values guest comfort and convenience. I was assigned a room on the 33rd floor, and stepping inside felt like being welcomed into a private rooftop view of Tokyo. The room itself was minimalist yet refined—warm wood flooring, soft ambient lighting, and a calming atmosphere that made every moment feel luxurious. For shopping, just hop on the Ginza Line to Sanyo-mae Station—just a short walk from the Sanyo Department Store's Nihonbashi branch, where tax refunds are quick and hassle-free. A taxi to Isetan Shinjuku costs around ¥2,500, which is reasonable. There’s also a convenience store in the underground passage linking to the station—but note it’s not open 24 hours. Breakfast is a highlight: the Japanese-style meal is prepared by the hotel’s in-house restaurant, Mizuran, and delivers top-quality flavors that leave you truly satisfied. Just remember to order by 10:00 AM. Overall, this hotel is ideal for business travelers, shoppers, or those exploring nearby attractions. With great dining options and the ability to reserve private rooms for client dinners or gatherings, it’s a perfect blend of comfort, location, and service. Truly exceptional.

If you’re willing to walk about 10 minutes toward the subway station, you’ll find a bustling food street packed with snacks, convenience stores, beauty shops, and more—very convenient for daily needs. Breakfast was decent, with a good variety of options, though the quality wasn’t quite up to 5-star standard—nothing extraordinary, but satisfying enough. The only minor issue was a bit of dust trapped in the corner seams near the bedhead; I’m sensitive to dust, and when I reached for my phone case, it kicked up some particles and caused several sneezes. A deeper clean in those tight spots would be appreciated. Still, the location, comfort, and overall vibe make this a top choice for a memorable stay in Tokyo.

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro

I stayed for seven nights and couldn't be happier with my experience. I didn't take many photos during the stay—most were snapped at checkout, so they’re a bit messy—but that doesn’t change how amazing the hotel truly is. The room was perfect for one person: clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and attentive service. Right across from the hotel is Lumine, making shopping and dining super convenient. With both JR and subway lines nearby, getting around Tokyo is a breeze. I took a direct train to the Harry Potter World in just 30 minutes—no transfers needed! Plus, the airport bus stops right outside the front door, which made my departure stress-free. This place offers unbeatable convenience and value. I’ll definitely be back again soon.
