I stayed at Leonardo Hotel Budapest and was really impressed! The location is great—taking a bus from the airport took about 55 minutes, and even though I arrived just after midnight, the area felt safe throughout the journey. Walking to the hotel was easy and secure. Upon check-in, they kindly offered a complimentary bottle of water—a small touch, but it made a big difference. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a cozy bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. It's also super convenient for getting around—just a short ride on the metro to reach downtown. Excellent value for money and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Budapest.

The location in Budapest is fantastic—perfect for exploring the city—but the actual property didn’t live up to expectations. The photos online make it look bright and cheerful, but in reality, the rooms felt dark and cramped, especially with two extra beds squeezed into two of the bedrooms. We had to request additional pillows—one per person—since the standard offering was insufficient. The kettle in the adjacent apartment wasn’t working, which was frustrating when you’re looking to make a quick coffee. The hallway entrance was dim and looked poorly maintained, giving an unwelcoming first impression. It’s disappointing because the neighborhood is so convenient and central. While the location is a big plus, the overall condition and attention to detail leave much to be desired. For a place this close to everything, a little more care in upkeep and guest comfort would go a long way.

Travelling solo in Hungary, I didn’t speak Hungarian and struggled to understand much English—but staying at Di Verdi Imperial Hotel made the whole experience so much easier. Its central location is perfect for exploring: just a short walk to the metro, which made visiting places like the Great Market Hall and attending a church service effortless. I loved being able to store my luggage safely, allowing me to wander freely throughout the city. Even stumbled upon a shopping mall I hadn’t planned to visit—turned out to be a fun surprise! While there were no toiletries or toothbrush provided (something I expected), it didn’t bother me at all. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and convenience. If I ever return to Budapest, I’d absolutely stay here again.

Unless you're on a tight budget and have no other options, I wouldn’t recommend this place again.

Only one bathroom was functional, while the other was unusable and visibly dirty. Dishes left unwashed in the kitchen, grime on the bathroom surfaces, and beds that felt like metal springs instead of proper mattresses made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The owner’s response when we mentioned these issues was dismissive—he claimed everything was fine, which only added to our frustration. Despite being located near public transit and close to the city center, the overall experience was far from satisfactory. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent, hygienic stay.
