Holiday Inn Express & Suites Los Angeles Downtown West

The location is excellent—just about 4 km from downtown LA, making it super convenient whether you're exploring the city center by subway or driving. The front desk staff were incredibly professional and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the coffee maker at the desk along with complimentary travel mugs—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering fresh juice, coffee, eggs, bacon, and fruit—all the essentials to start the day right. Great value for money and highly recommend this property for both business and leisure travelers.

PodShare East Hollywood

I've never stayed in a hostel with shared rooms featuring double beds, and I was pleasantly surprised—everything was incredibly clean, the facility ran smoothly, and the place remained quiet throughout my stay. No issues at all. The only suggestion I'd make is adding a small notice near the door with contact information for the property staff—it would be helpful for guests who need assistance. Overall, it's a fantastic spot with great value, excellent location, and a very welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

Burlington Hostel

The property is a bit older than the photos suggest, and the rooms are fairly basic, but it's well-located for exploring downtown LA. The nearby metro station makes getting around super convenient, and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. It's not fancy, but if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with good access to attractions and transit, this place offers solid value for money.

Artist Housing - Downtown

This has been the worst travel experience in over a decade. I didn’t even make it past the front door—just walking in, the place felt dead and unclean. The room was filthy, dusty, and clearly hadn’t been properly maintained. No energy, no hospitality, just an eerie silence. I left immediately without checking in. Honestly, it’s not just disappointing—it’s a complete waste of time and money. I’ve stayed in many hostels around the world, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. Would never recommend or come back.

Green Homestay

Staying at Green Homestay in Los Angeles was an absolute highlight of my trip! The beds were incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night's rest after a day exploring. I loved the kitchen space where I could cook simple meals, which saved me money and let me enjoy fresh, home-cooked food. What really stood out was the vibrant mix of travelers from all over the world sharing the space. It felt like living in a mini global community—lots of fun conversations, cultural exchange, and unforgettable moments. The location is great, close to public transit, and the whole place feels safe, clean, and welcoming. For such a low price, the value is outstanding. If you're looking for an authentic, affordable, and social stay in LA, this homestay is definitely worth booking. I’ll be back!

InterContinental - Los Angeles Downtown

First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The hotel itself feels modern and well-maintained, with clean, spacious rooms that make you feel right at home. The BBQ from the neighboring Spanish hotel—it's a nightly event with delicious aromas drifting over, making it feel like we were experiencing a true local street food scene without leaving the area. Everything you need is within walking distance, and the overall atmosphere is lively yet relaxed. If you're looking for a stylish, convenient, and comfortable base in LA, this hotel is a top choice. The location is unbeatable: right next to a shopping mall with direct access to the subway station, so getting around town is seamless. Whether I wanted to explore local boutiques or head out for dinner, everything was just steps away. Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with a minimalist touch that felt both modern and cozy. I loved how fresh the linens were every day—so soft and comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. The on-site lounge is fantastic: stylish ambiance, attentive service, and a great vibe. Their American-style coffee is excellent—rich but not bitter, perfect for starting the day. And the fried chicken wings? Absolutely addictive—crispy outside, juicy inside. I couldn’t stop eating them! Located right near public transit, it’s super convenient for exploring LA. With such a high-quality experience at this price point, it’s definitely a top-tier choice. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is a bit hidden and might take a little time to find on your first visit since the front desk is located in a backyard area. However, once you locate it, you'll appreciate the quiet, convenient location with easy access to local transit and attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall experience was great for the price. It's definitely worth a stay if you're looking for a more authentic, off-the-beaten-path vibe in Los Angeles.

The room layout was exactly what I was looking for—well thought out, spacious, and functional, making the stay incredibly comfortable. I especially enjoyed dining at the lobby restaurant; the breakfast spread was generous and delicious, with standout highlights like a perfectly crisp croissant paired with rich coffee. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to public transit, making it easy to explore downtown LA. What impressed me most was how effortlessly it balanced style, comfort, and value.
