The room itself was spotless, beautifully clean, with soft and cozy bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent soundproofing—no noise from neighboring rooms or the busy street outside. Montebello Villa Hotel in Cebu is a charming, green oasis tucked right in the heart of the city. We stayed here for four days before heading to Bohol, and it was the perfect stopover. The hotel has a vintage feel with beautifully landscaped gardens and an old-world charm—ideal if you appreciate historic properties. That said, be prepared for smaller rooms with slightly outdated furnishings and equipment. But that’s part of its character! Breakfast was absolutely outstanding—great variety including both Asian and European options. Fresh breads, pastries, waffles, cheeses—all delicious and well-prepared. Dining on the terrace by the pool under shady trees made it even more enjoyable. The swimming pools are clean, with both large and small options, perfect for relaxing on a lounger. Location-wise, it’s central and very convenient for reaching major attractions. A popular shopping mall is just a 10-minute taxi ride away. While nearby malls aren’t particularly modern or exciting, the hotel’s surroundings are peaceful and authentic, giving you a real sense of old-school Cebu. Staff are incredibly courteous—greeted us with a welcome drink and available 24/7. Throughout our stay, everything ran smoothly, which is rare in Philippine hotels where minor issues and communication gaps often pop up. Here, none of that happened. For a short 2-3 day visit, this hotel offers exceptional value and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a 5-minute Grab ride from both Ayala Mall and SM Mall, making shopping and exploring super convenient. The rooftop pool is small but spotless, with a cozy bar nearby where you can enjoy light snacks and cocktails while soaking in the stunning city skyline at night. It’s such a peaceful, romantic vibe—highly recommended for anyone visiting Cebu.

The studio room is well-designed and thoughtfully furnished, offering a cozy and stylish atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The only minor downside was the shower water being a bit cold at times, which could be improved with better temperature control. Also, there’s a Korean grocery store right at the entrance that’s a bit pricey, but it’s convenient if you need quick essentials. Despite these small issues, the hotel delivers excellent value and convenience, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The location couldn’t be more convenient—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions on foot or by public transit. Our room was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. When we asked for an extra bed, the staff promptly provided a third mattress along with all necessary accessories—no hassle at all. The bedding was soft yet supportive, and we had everything we needed for personal hygiene, including quality toiletries for hair, body, and teeth. No cockroaches—big plus! There was a minor issue in the bathroom: the floor gets wet during showers, but it dried completely within two hours, so it wasn’t a real inconvenience. The mini-fridge worked perfectly, keeping drinks cool throughout our stay. Breakfast was outstanding—a great mix of European and Filipino dishes, all fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. We loved the included fruits and variety of non-alcoholic beverages. On the 19th floor, there’s a small but beautiful pool with breathtaking views of the city skyline, plus a fully equipped gym. Staff even handed us beach towels—such a thoughtful touch. One small suggestion: larger water bottles would’ve been helpful given how hot Cebu can get, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience. This was easily one of the best stays we’ve had in the Philippines, and we’re already planning to return. Highly recommended! 🌹
