This is definitely my favorite hotel. The service is outstanding, the place is spotless, and the fitness facility is top-notch—every time I stay here, I feel completely at ease. It’s become a second home for me. That said, after seven visits this year, it’s a bit disappointing that the staff still treats us like first-time guests every single time. They’re young, friendly, and professional, but there’s no real sense of personal connection or family-like atmosphere. Still, the overall experience is excellent—great for wellness travelers who value comfort and quality. Highly recommend if you're looking for a clean, well-equipped retreat in Hamburg.

My stay at Hotel Engel was absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was outstanding—rich in variety and deliciously prepared. I even ordered a huge, mouthwatering Kaiserschmarrn at 9 PM and took it back to my room to enjoy in peace—what a treat! The kitchen team deserves special praise for their excellent service, both in the restaurant and beyond. Every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of, and the overall experience exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hamburg.

The bathroom setup is a bit unique—there’s a quirky shower situation—but if you’re careful while showering, it stays dry enough not to be an issue. The front desk area has a stylish vibe, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a great stay with strong value for money. I’d definitely come back.

While the single room is on the smaller side and a bit snug, it’s still functional and well-equipped for a comfortable night’s sleep. One minor drawback: there’s no automatic ventilation system, so you’re reliant solely on opening the two windows for airflow. This could be an issue during warmer summer months, especially without mosquito nets—something to keep in mind if you’re particularly sensitive to bugs. That said, cleanliness was clearly a top priority—the room felt fresh and well-maintained throughout my visit. The staff went above and beyond by offering a free iron upon request, and their friendly, service-oriented attitude made a big difference. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable. Even if you don’t book breakfast, there are plenty of great dining options just steps away. In under 8 minutes’ walk, you’re in the heart of the city—perfect for strolling, browsing shops, or grabbing a coffee. And right outside the door is the train station, making public transport effortless for exploring Hamburg and beyond. I felt completely at ease during my entire stay. With its excellent location, attentive staff, and overall comfort, this hotel delivers real value. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. From check-in to checkout, every interaction was positive and professional. Overall, this is a great choice for travelers seeking comfort, location, and genuine hospitality in Hamburg.

We had a fantastic four-day weekend in Hamburg centered around a football match (Hamburger SV vs. Eintracht Frankfurt). Staying at Hotel Commodore was an absolute delight—the location couldn’t be better. Just a short walk from the Landungsbrücken and Reeperbahn, and the U-Bahn Stadium station is only about 3 minutes away—perfect for catching the game without hassle. The breakfast was outstanding: fresh fruit and vegetables every day, plus a wide variety of cold cuts, cheeses, and freshly baked breads and pastries. The room was clean, spacious enough, and very comfortable. We were especially happy with the complimentary parking—huge plus for those driving. Overall, the experience was flawless, and we’d definitely return. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg!

As a longtime fan of Motel One, we were once again thoroughly impressed. The rooms are compact as expected, but spotless and thoughtfully designed—everything you need is neatly arranged and readily available. Located right by the Michel, it’s an ideal base for exploring Hamburg. We were just a short walk from St. Pauli station, and both the Reeperbahn and the old town were easily accessible on foot. Perfect for travelers who want to experience the city’s vibrant energy without hassle. We’ll definitely be back.
