The hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and well-appointed with a microwave and fridge—perfect for storing snacks or preparing simple meals. Everything was clean and fresh, giving a comfortable, home-like feel. Just a short walk away, there are two convenient supermarkets—super handy for grabbing essentials. I also loved the on-site restaurant; their Thanksgiving dinner special was delicious, beautifully presented, and offered great value. It’s rare to find such a pleasant stay in the heart of DC—this place truly stands out.

Breakfast was a highlight: fresh, delicious, and well-prepared with a great variety of options. Comfortable rooms, quiet atmosphere, and everything you’d want in a downtown stay. This place truly delivers on every front. Highly recommend for any traveler visiting DC.
State Plaza Hotel
I ended up changing my flight and arrived a day early, so I decided to extend my stay by one more night. State Plaza Hotel exceeded my expectations overall—while the room isn’t huge, it comfortably fit our family of three. The two 1.5-meter beds were spacious and cozy, perfect for a good night’s sleep, and there was even a small desk that came in handy for working or letting the kids do homework. The bathroom with a separate vanity area was a real plus—great privacy and functionality. The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, and sufficient dishes and utensils—ideal for preparing meals, especially when traveling with kids. The only minor downside is that the nearest grocery store is a bit far, requiring a short walk, but public transport access to downtown is excellent. Overall, great value, convenient location, and a welcoming atmosphere—I’d definitely stay here again.

The room itself is spacious and thoughtfully designed. The kitchenette comes fully equipped with modern essentials—dishes, a large fridge, dishwasher, everything you’d need for a homey stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the recently renovated bathroom added a nice touch of luxury. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. I felt like I was staying in a stylish, well-cared-for apartment rather than a typical hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again—this place truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and value.

The location is perfect—right next to the National Zoo, and surrounded by great restaurants and local shops. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel right at home. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable—perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. What really stood out was the breakfast: they offer a gluten-free option, and since I’m gluten-sensitive, I was provided with GF bread every morning, plus other naturally gluten-free meals. It’s clear they care about dietary needs. The whole experience was seamless and welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The air conditioning was excellent, and they provided a great iron and ironing board. High-speed Wi-Fi made working remotely a breeze. The photos matched exactly what we found—no surprises at all. What really stood out was the complimentary snack machine in the lobby offering popcorn, cold tea, and coffee, plus some small treats for purchase. It’s such a thoughtful touch. Ivon at the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming—she went above and beyond to assist us. The hotel is just two blocks from the metro station and several bus stops, making it super easy to get around without needing a car. Walking to the White House takes about 20 minutes through quiet, safe streets—perfect for exploring downtown. This place offers incredible value and comfort. I’d definitely stay here again!

The 24-hour complimentary coffee and hot drinks were a game-changer, especially during late-night work sessions or early morning meetings. Free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout my stay. Special shoutout to Erick from the front desk—he was incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with any request. I booked an executive suite for around $8200 HKD, and even though I didn’t get much sleep due to back-to-back meetings, I still felt incredibly lucky and satisfied with the value. The location is great, the staff is warm, and the attention to detail shows real care. Definitely going to return and recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues.
