Hotel Sainte Jeanne
Even though I live in Mar del Plata, I finally had the chance to visit Hotel Sainte Jeanne in person and stay for three nights with my closest friend—what a perfect getaway! The hotel is absolutely stunning, from the elegant rooms to the luxurious spa area. The indoor heated pool is a real treat—featuring multiple water jets, a jacuzzi, and even a projector for movie nights! We actually watched a film from inside the pool—so cool and unforgettable. The restaurant is fantastic—I’ve been there before and keep coming back because of the excellent food and service; they also offer a great executive lunch menu. The café is equally impressive. Everyone on staff was incredibly kind and attentive. One small suggestion: at breakfast, there’s a photo frame indicating it’s not self-service, but it’s placed in a spot that’s hard to see. When we tried to serve ourselves since no one was around, we were gently reminded it wasn’t allowed—which felt awkward, especially since we later noticed several other guests had the same experience. Also, while items like cream cheese, jam, dulce de leche, butter, and more are available, they’re not clearly displayed or mentioned, so guests might miss them entirely. That said, these are just minor improvements—not at all detracting from how exceptional the hotel truly is. I’m sharing this feedback with the best intentions, knowing such changes could make an already amazing stay even better.

Staying at Hotel Astor was an absolute delight. Located right in the heart of Mar del Plata, it's just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by great cafes and shops. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean—so peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors that really stood out. I've visited twice: once in January 2016 with my dad, and again in March 2023 with a close friend, and both trips were unforgettable. Every detail feels thoughtfully done, from the warm staff to the cozy ambiance. If you're looking for a perfect base in Mar del Plata, this hotel is definitely worth considering. I’d happily come back again and again.

We had an amazing time at City Hotel Mar del Plata! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and easily accessible by public transit. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made our stay very enjoyable. We were especially happy to bring our dog along—the staff warmly welcomed him and even looked after him while we went out for dinner, which was such a relief. What really stood out was the cooperative work atmosphere; the team felt genuinely welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear they care about guests and each other. We’re already planning to come back and highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers looking for a warm, authentic experience in Mar del Plata.

Best of all, the location is perfect: just a short walk to the beach and the heart of Mar del Plata. You can easily explore the city on foot or hop on the metro nearby. This place offers unbeatable value and comfort. I’d return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right in the city center with restaurants, shops, and attractions all within walking distance. It's also very safe, which gave peace of mind after dark. Overall, this was a top-tier experience for a mid-range hotel. Highly recommend for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality.
Garden Hotel
The location is fantastic for travelers without their own transportation. It's just steps away from the heart of Mar del Plata, and the garden facing the street is a real highlight—a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city center. While the room bathrooms and Wi-Fi could use some improvement—especially when many guests are online—the overall experience remains strong. Just like in 2019, my stay in January 2022 was still very satisfying, with great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere.

Having 24/7 front desk service is such a convenience, especially when arriving late or needing help early in the morning. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from a quiet, safe beach where you can enjoy sunrise strolls or peaceful evenings. The only minor issue was a small ant presence during my stay, but it seemed unrelated to the hostel itself. Overall, this place offers an amazing mix of comfort, atmosphere, and value—definitely a top pick if you're visiting Mar del Plata!
Baloo Hotel
The location couldn't be better—just a few blocks from Bristol Beach and the Aldrey Shopping Center, making it super convenient for exploring the area. Francisco, the staff member, was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. The breakfast was outstanding: fresh pastries, crispy toast, creamy cheese, and homemade jams—everything tasted delicious. Even better, they allow guests to use the dining area if you pick up food from the rotisserie nearby, which added great flexibility. This place truly offers comfort, convenience, and excellent value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.

Located just a short walk from the metro station, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring downtown Mar del Plata. This place offers fantastic value and genuine hospitality. Our stay was brief—just one night—but everything worked out perfectly. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We missed breakfast because we woke up a bit late, but that didn’t affect our overall experience. The location is excellent—only a 3-block walk from the lighthouse, which made exploring the area super convenient. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the room itself felt well-maintained. The only minor note: there was no air conditioning or fan in the room, but since we stayed for such a short time, opening the window provided enough fresh air. It wasn’t an issue at all. Overall, this place offers great value for a quick stopover, and I’d definitely consider returning if I’m back in Mar del Plata.
