Hotel Nuevo Ostende by Bund
We stayed at this hotel with my partner and family in December, and it was our third time choosing Hotel Nuevo Ostende by Bund — and once again, it didn’t disappoint! The property is exactly as shown in the photos: spotless, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. I booked a suite, and the bed was huge and so cozy — perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast was outstanding — a wide variety of fresh, homemade dishes, generous portions, and absolutely delicious. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable; everything we needed — restaurants, shops, beaches — was just steps away. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. From check-in to checkout, the experience was seamless. I’ll definitely be returning here again and again. A top-tier choice for anyone visiting Mar del Plata!

Staying at this hotel was a fantastic experience overall. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the beach and super convenient for exploring downtown. Breakfast was a highlight, with a great variety of homemade cakes that were fresh and delicious. The room was clean and well-maintained, and one of the biggest perks was the flexible check-in and check-out times—no rush, which made our trip much more relaxed. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The only minor drawback was the Wi-Fi—it worked fine but occasionally slowed down, especially during peak hours. Still, it didn’t detract from the overall quality of the stay. For the price, this place offers excellent value and would definitely be my top choice again.

Gran Hotel Opera
Staying at Gran Hotel Opera was a great experience, especially considering the value for money. The set menus include an appetizer, main course, and dessert, all thoughtfully prepared with classic hotel-style touches. The food was delicious, well-balanced, and portioned just right. Dining here during sunset with views of the sea made the meal even more memorable. Overall, Gran Hotel Opera offers a reliable, enjoyable stay that fits perfectly within its price range. Definitely a place I’d return to on future trips to Mar del Plata.
Hotel Nueva Italia
The hotel is about 20 blocks from the beach, which is a bit far, but it's located in a lively area with constant activity around. We parked our car outside every night without any issues—security has really improved since the local authorities relocated the previous transient groups. The owners are absolutely outstanding—11 out of 10 for service! Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, and the room cleanliness was top-notch. What stood out most was their genuine love for animals—there were stray cats and dogs around, and they clearly care for them. It’s rare to find such warmth and kindness in hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.
Hotel San José Mdq
This stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. The entire room was soaked with moisture—walls, floors, even the bathroom was dripping. We weren’t given a single towel for bathing, and the sheets were old, stained, and clearly never washed. On the first night, there was no hot water at all—just freezing cold showers. The rooms weren’t cleaned during our stay, and we found ants crawling around in the bedroom, which was absolutely horrifying. The toilet was loose and wobbly, and the tiny two-by-two bathroom flooded every time we turned on the tap. The staff’s service was subpar—rude, indifferent, and completely unhelpful. This place felt more like a nightmare than a hotel. I’ve stayed in many places worldwide, but nothing comes close to this level of neglect. Do not stay here—avoid it at all costs.

This hotel is absolutely perfect! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local attractions. The owners and staff are incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond to meet every need. The room was completely renovated with a brand-new bed and modern bathroom—so comfortable and spotless. Cleanliness is outstanding; you can tell they take pride in their standards. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, but this one truly stands out. I’d return without hesitation and would even give it more stars if possible—it absolutely deserves it!
Garden Hotel
The location is fantastic for travelers without their own transportation. It's just steps away from the heart of Mar del Plata, and the garden facing the street is a real highlight—a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city center. While the room bathrooms and Wi-Fi could use some improvement—especially when many guests are online—the overall experience remains strong. Just like in 2019, my stay in January 2022 was still very satisfying, with great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere.
