Staying at this family-style apartment hotel was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—right in front of Punta Mogotes Beach with stunning views of the ocean. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and feature lovely taruga wood flooring that adds a warm, authentic touch. Everything is well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped. The staff went above and beyond with their service, making us feel truly welcome. Being steps away from quiet, wide beaches made our stay even more relaxing. This place offers incredible value for money—comfortable, stylish, and ideally located. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Hotel España! While we initially chose it for its prime location, what truly made us come back again and again was the incredible hospitality from the staff. They’re consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely go the extra mile—not just with practical touches like providing mate tea, calling taxis, or opening the elevator, but also through warm smiles, friendly tones, and that personal touch that makes you feel truly welcome. This human-centered service is what sets them apart from other hotels in the area. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained—great beds, working AC, TV, and a hairdryer in every room. Everything’s spotless and cozy, making it a perfect home away from home. Breakfast is generous, delicious, and varied—exactly what you want to start your day right. Despite being right in the heart of town, the hotel is remarkably quiet and peaceful. And as a huge fan of Cerati, I absolutely loved how they play his music in the background—it added such a special vibe. 10 out of 10 without hesitation!

This place exceeded all my expectations! The apartment has been recently renovated and feels truly modern and fresh. Everything you need in the kitchen is here—refrigerator, stove, washing machine, electric kettle, coffee maker—all brand new and in perfect condition. The bathroom is spotless, and both bedrooms are comfortably furnished with high-quality mattresses and pillows. The only thing to note is that you’ll need to bring your own sheets and towels, but honestly, that’s a minor detail. What really makes this stay unforgettable is the location and the view—right on the waterfront with breathtaking ocean vistas. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunrise from the balcony was pure magic. I can’t wait to come back. This is an absolute gem for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped getaway with unbeatable value.

Absolutely recommend this place! Located just 30 meters from the beach and within walking distance to the city center, pedestrian zone, and historic district—everything you need is right at your doorstep. We stayed for a week and were completely satisfied with the comfort, cleanliness, and value. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly, attentive service—always ready to help with any request. Even though the rooms are compact, they’re well-equipped and spotless. It’s clear the management cares about guest experience. I’ve already decided to come back soon and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Staying at Hotel Ramos Mejía was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and downtown, making it perfect for exploring everything Mar del Plata has to offer. The room was spotless, well-equipped with air conditioning, heating, ceiling fan, a 32-inch TV, and a safe—everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out was the cleanliness and the friendly, welcoming staff who made every interaction pleasant. We’ve visited twice already and plan to come back as often as possible. For the price, you simply can’t find a better option in this area—great value, great vibe, and truly memorable.
Cabañas Aire Fresco
Absolutely loved this cozy cabin nestled in the woods—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. While it's located just outside town, the access to downtown is super direct and easy to navigate. The Wi-Fi connection is excellent, perfect for staying connected or streaming shows. The only small downside is that there’s no microwave or hair dryer, but everything else was top-notch and well-maintained. Overall, it’s a fantastic value with a serene atmosphere—ideal for anyone looking to unwind surrounded by nature.
Gran Hotel Opera
Staying at Gran Hotel Opera was a great experience, especially considering the value for money. The hotel is perfectly located in Mar del Plata—just a short walk from the beach and downtown area, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortably furnished with modern amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I highly recommend trying their lunch or dinner service—both are excellent options. The set menus include an appetizer, main course, and dessert, all thoughtfully prepared with classic hotel-style touches. The food was delicious, well-balanced, and portioned just right. Dining here during sunset with views of the sea made the meal even more memorable. Overall, Gran Hotel Opera offers a reliable, enjoyable stay that fits perfectly within its price range. Definitely a place I’d return to on future trips to Mar del Plata.
Hotel Nueva Italia
The hotel is about 20 blocks from the beach, which is a bit far, but it's located in a lively area with constant activity around. We parked our car outside every night without any issues—security has really improved since the local authorities relocated the previous transient groups. The owners are absolutely outstanding—11 out of 10 for service! Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, and the room cleanliness was top-notch. What stood out most was their genuine love for animals—there were stray cats and dogs around, and they clearly care for them. It’s rare to find such warmth and kindness in hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.
Hotel San José Mdq
This stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. The entire room was soaked with moisture—walls, floors, even the bathroom was dripping. We weren’t given a single towel for bathing, and the sheets were old, stained, and clearly never washed. On the first night, there was no hot water at all—just freezing cold showers. The rooms weren’t cleaned during our stay, and we found ants crawling around in the bedroom, which was absolutely horrifying. The toilet was loose and wobbly, and the tiny two-by-two bathroom flooded every time we turned on the tap. The staff’s service was subpar—rude, indifferent, and completely unhelpful. This place felt more like a nightmare than a hotel. I’ve stayed in many places worldwide, but nothing comes close to this level of neglect. Do not stay here—avoid it at all costs.

This hotel is absolutely perfect! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local attractions. The owners and staff are incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond to meet every need. The room was completely renovated with a brand-new bed and modern bathroom—so comfortable and spotless. Cleanliness is outstanding; you can tell they take pride in their standards. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, but this one truly stands out. I’d return without hesitation and would even give it more stars if possible—it absolutely deserves it!
Garden Hotel
The location is fantastic for travelers without their own transportation. It's just steps away from the heart of Mar del Plata, and the garden facing the street is a real highlight—a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city center. While the room bathrooms and Wi-Fi could use some improvement—especially when many guests are online—the overall experience remains strong. Just like in 2019, my stay in January 2022 was still very satisfying, with great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere.
