Staying at Boardinghouse Mundsburg in Hamburg was a great experience overall. The apartment is spacious, clean, and comfortably furnished—perfect for a short or extended visit. It's just a few minutes' walk from both the bus and metro stops, making public transportation super convenient. We used it as a base to visit the Sporthalle, which took about 30 minutes by transit—one of the best parts of our trip. Parking right outside the door was free and hassle-free, which was a big plus for us since we arrived by car. Check-in went smoothly with no delays. The only downside was the noise from heavy traffic on the nearby road—sleeping with the window open wasn't ideal, but that’s easily managed by closing the windows. All in all, we were very satisfied with our stay. Great location, excellent value, and a welcoming atmosphere make this a top choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Hamburg.

The location of this apartment is excellent—just a short subway ride from the city center. However, the experience was severely undermined by the front desk staff's attitude. The woman on duty was extremely unfriendly, dismissive, and even verbally disrespectful toward guests. To make matters worse, she canceled two confirmed reservations without warning, forcing us to drive 500 km back home and then return the next day. It was absolutely not worth it just to spend one night here. While the price point is reasonable, the poor service and lack of professionalism made the entire stay frustrating. If you're looking for a budget option and don’t mind being treated poorly, this might suit you. But for us, it’s a hard pass—definitely not something we’d recommend.
