The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We booked two rooms—one had weak heating, making it slightly chilly; the other had a leaking toilet and water pooling in the shower area upon arrival. However, these were minor issues compared to the overall experience. The hotel’s elegant ambiance, high-quality furnishings, and attention to detail truly stand out. Despite the small setbacks, the location, service, and general luxury make this a top choice for future stays.

While prices did go up during the convention season, the quality of the stay made it well worth it. For a reliable, clean, and centrally located hotel in the West Loop area, this is a top choice. I’d definitely book again when visiting Chicago.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities that made the stay enjoyable. However, breakfast wasn’t quite up to par. While there’s a choice between buffet and à la carte options, each guest is limited to $33 per day, plus taxes and service fees that aren’t clearly explained. It felt like you’re counting every dollar from the moment you sit down, which gets frustrating quickly. By the end, we just gave up trying to track it all. Still, the hotel’s prime location, excellent service, and overall value make it a solid pick for travelers visiting Chicago.

I’ll admit, I was nervous after reading some of the reviews—but don’t let them scare you off. This isn’t a hotel; it’s a sophisticated private condo with high standards. If you’re planning loud parties or leaving a mess, this isn’t your spot. But if you appreciate elegance, cleanliness, and thoughtful hospitality, you’ll love it. James, Jim, and Jeri-Lou were exceptional—straightforward, helpful, and deeply committed to maintaining their property at the highest level. You can tell they care about the building and their guests. The space is massive, and the rooftop deck? Unbelievable. Wake up early around 4:45 or 5 AM, grab a coffee, step outside, and watch the sunrise over the city—there’s nothing like it anywhere else. Every detail is thoughtfully designed. Fully equipped kitchen, premium linens, smart tech, everything you could want. No missing essentials. Honestly, I already can’t wait to come back to Chicago just to stay here again. Huge thanks to Jeri-Lou and the team for making our trip so seamless and memorable. This is more than a rental—it’s an experience.
The Wheeler Mansion
We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway with my girlfriends at The Wheeler Mansion. From the moment we arrived, the elegance and charm of this boutique hotel set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Each room was uniquely decorated with distinctive artwork and vintage touches—no two spaces felt the same. The grand foyer and beautifully furnished living and dining areas made us feel like we’d stepped into a storybook. David, our concierge, went above and beyond—he was attentive, friendly, and even drove us to the theater for our show, Hairspray. He also recommended dinner at Pilsen Yards, which turned out to be one of the best meals of the trip: delicious food and top-notch service. We left feeling completely refreshed and inspired. I can’t wait to return, especially in summer when the grounds are in full bloom—just looking at the photos, it’s clear this place is even more magical in warmer weather.
