After staying here briefly in 2022, we decided to come back for a full week—definitely glad we did. The 302 unit had just been freshly painted and the bathrooms were spotless, making the space feel brand new. Having a balcony was a real plus—perfect for hanging clothes or just enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of coffee. We also made good use of the rooftop area for some light exercise and stretching under the open sky. The location is ideal—right between downtown and the northern highway, giving us easy access to everything. Unicentro Mall and the restaurants in Usaquen are just minutes away. If you walk left after exiting the building, there’s a peaceful pedestrian path leading to a bustling commercial street packed with supermarkets, shops, and eateries. One standout recommendation: La Artesana del Pan, only a 5-minute walk away in a quiet, charming neighborhood. Whether it’s a delicious breakfast, a hearty pasta dish, or one of the best pizzas we’ve had in Colombia, this place is worth every step. A true gem—would absolutely stay here again.

However, there are a few drawbacks: no kitchen facilities, which limits self-catering options, and only one shared bathroom for the entire ground floor—this can get crowded during peak times. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly stopover with good access to food and transport. Just keep in mind the lack of privacy and basic amenities if you're expecting more comfort.

Chapinorte Bogota
We stayed at Chapinorte Bogota on three separate occasions in December 2012 and January 2013, and it quickly became like a second home to us. Antonio, the owner, is truly exceptional—always attentive, genuinely warm, and such a fun person to chat with. His English is excellent, making communication effortless. We stayed in a private double room with an en-suite bathroom, first on the upper floor, then on the lower level for our next two visits—both were comfortable and peaceful. The hostel is located within a quiet residential building complex, offering a safe and welcoming atmosphere. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen, plus thoughtful extras like a local info desk and a book exchange corner. If you're looking to explore Bogotá while still enjoying a cozy, secure place to rest, this is exactly the kind of spot you need. We can’t recommend it highly enough. And one little highlight we almost forgot: breakfast delivered right to our room once—pure luxury! Antonio, we’ve yet to find another place that matches the charm and care you offer.
