Villager Lodge Niagara Falls
Stayed at Villager Lodge Niagara Falls and had a generally positive experience. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—great for comfort during warmer evenings. However, I arrived at 4 PM as planned, only to be told my room wasn’t ready yet. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and slightly unfriendly, almost making me feel like I was being unreasonable for wanting to check in early. That said, the overall atmosphere of the lodge is welcoming, the rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the location offers easy access to the falls. Despite the minor service hiccup, the value for money and quiet, cozy vibe make it a solid choice for a relaxed getaway.

The real issue was the door handle: it was so stiff I couldn’t open it myself. Had to call staff every time I came back, and even then, it took some serious effort (I didn’t want to risk my $250 deposit by kicking it). There’s also a $10 parking fee, which felt a bit steep given the basic nature of the place. Overall, it’s fine if you’re in a pinch, but not something I’d choose again unless all the nicer options are booked.

Breakfast was prepared exactly when we requested—9 a.m.—and was filling enough to keep us energized all day long. The shower had strong, hot water and there were plenty of towels available. Tea and coffee were stocked in the kitchen, plus there were basic cooking facilities if we wanted to prepare something ourselves. From the house, it’s just a 2-minute walk to the river and about 10 minutes to Clifton Hill and all the main attractions—super close, yet completely peaceful. We didn’t hear any noise from crowds, just the soothing sound of the falls. The location is perfect for exploring while still enjoying quiet relaxation. They even offer airport pickup and drop-off if you ask—huge convenience! Honestly, this stay was flawless. We’re already planning to book again. Thank you so much for such a memorable holiday experience—10/10, without a doubt!
