The Hughenden Boutique Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and thoughtfully arranged. We checked in around 4:30 PM, and thanks to clear pre-arrival messages from the platform, we knew exactly how to access the parking, retrieve our room key, and re-enter the building after hours if needed. The entire process was smooth, stress-free, and incredibly convenient—no long queues or confusion at all. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with a quiet, elegant atmosphere that makes it feel like a true retreat. It’s perfectly located for exploring Sydney, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. We’ll definitely be returning if we ever come back to the city. A standout experience from start to finish.

I will never stay anywhere else again! From the moment I arrived, everything about this place felt perfect. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from public transit and surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, and shops. The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished with all the essentials. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. What really stood out was the staff—they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make my stay memorable. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a home away from home. For anyone visiting Sydney, this is the top choice. I’ll be coming back without hesitation.

The property requires a foreign-issued credit card for the security deposit, which didn't work with my domestic China Bank savings card—despite having a branch in Australia, the cards aren't interchangeable. That said, the overall atmosphere and quality are impressive. It feels like a mid-range hotel you'd find in a Chinese county town for around $100 or a first-tier city hotel priced at $200, but with noticeably better amenities and a more refined ambiance. The location is convenient, close to public transit with easy access to the city center. Great value for money and definitely worth staying at if you're looking for comfort without overspending.

Highly recommend Avoca Randwick for anyone visiting Sydney. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the hospital and right on the main street, where you’ll find an amazing variety of dining options. The room was recently renovated and spotless, with modern touches that make it feel fresh and welcoming. I especially appreciated the shared kitchen and laundry facilities—everything you’d need, even small things like spices and cleaning supplies, are provided. What really stood out was the thoughtful gesture from the cleaner who stayed behind to vacuum after my daughter accidentally spilled something. It’s these little details that make such a big difference. I’d definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends or family.

Staying at The Erko Hotel was a pleasant surprise! Located right above a lively bar, it’s perfect if you enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and don’t mind being close to the action. The room was spotless and well-maintained—no private bathroom, but the shared facilities were clean, modern, and well-kept. What stood out most was the front desk, which doubles as the bar counter—staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. When I mentioned needing an extra blanket and a stool, they delivered both within minutes. No hassle, no delays. Great location, excellent service, and a unique vibe that makes it feel like a local favorite. Definitely worth a stay if you're looking for something different in Sydney.

This property truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The beds were incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep after a day exploring. We appreciated the little touches like shampoo, conditioner, soap, tea, coffee, and sugar provided in the room; it made us feel right at home. The only thing missing was milk, but there’s a convenience store just across the street—super convenient. Best of all, it’s literally steps away from Coogee Beach, with stunning ocean views and plenty of great dining options nearby. Whether you're here for relaxation or adventure, this place hits all the right notes. We’d absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

Staying here was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Mascot Station and multiple bus stops, making it super easy to explore Sydney or head to the airport. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with modern touches throughout. I loved the king-sized bed—it was incredibly comfortable, and the rain shower in the bathroom was a real treat after a long day. The staff at the front desk were genuinely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. It’s clear they take pride in their service. For a seamless, convenient, and relaxing stay in Sydney, this place really delivers. Highly recommend!

Staying at Barry's Beach Road Hotel was an absolute delight. The room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with a spacious balcony offering breathtaking views of the ocean—perfect for morning coffee or watching the sunset. Located just one street away from the beach, it’s ideal for those who love easy access to the water without sacrificing comfort. The surrounding area is vibrant and convenient: right next door is a lively local market where you can grab fresh produce, snacks, and unique souvenirs. I especially loved the steak at a nearby restaurant—rich, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Everything is within walking distance, and public transport links to the city center are super easy. This hotel strikes the perfect balance between seaside tranquility and urban accessibility. Highly recommend for travelers seeking both relaxation and convenience.

Staying at Mrs Banks Hotel in Paddington was such a delightful experience. The location is perfect—quiet and cozy, yet just a short walk from the city center and all the local amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. The room was simple but clean and well-maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a day exploring Sydney. I especially appreciated how close we were to cafes, shops, and public transport—everything you’d want for a comfortable and convenient stay. A hidden gem in a great neighborhood, highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed, authentic vibe without sacrificing convenience.

Stayed at Sydney Park Hotel for two weekend visits in March 2024 while traveling to friends in the Blue Mountains, recommended by some locals who used to live in Sydney. Check-in was smooth and welcoming—staff seemed to know exactly why we were there (maybe it was the big suitcases?). We booked a King room for extra space, and loved the generous closet area and room for luggage. Over two stays, we were assigned different but similarly sized rooms—Room 3, a corner unit facing King Street/Logan Lane, and Room 4, which overlooked St Peters train station. Room 3 had great cross breezes when all three windows were open, though it did face a busy intersection with more street noise. Room 4 was just as spacious and slightly quieter, with a view of the train line. Both rooms offered a real sense of being in the heart of the city—traffic hum and train rumble clearly audible when windows were open. Thankfully, earplugs were provided in both rooms, which helped us sleep well despite the urban buzz. If you're very noise-sensitive, another hotel might be better suited. But for us, it wasn’t an issue. Transport couldn’t be easier—St Peters Station is literally across Lord Street, just a few meters from the entrance. For two people coming from SYD Airport, an Uber ($22 total) was actually cheaper than taking the train ($19 each). And bonus: direct bookings come with a nice discount, which is common now with independently operated hotels worldwide. Definitely worth contacting them directly via email or phone to beat any online rate. Overall, a solid choice for convenience, comfort, and value.

I chose a ground-floor room because I wanted air conditioning, but the space was quite compact and the view from the curtains just showed the parking lot—definitely not ideal. This is the first Ibis Budget property I’ve stayed at where the experience felt underwhelming. The toilet didn’t have a lid, the shower area lacked proper ventilation so it stayed damp after use, and water pressure was extremely low—taking a shower felt like waiting for a trickle. Also, the bathroom faucet made an annoying high-pitched noise as soon as it was turned on. While the location is convenient for public transport, these issues really dragged down the overall value. It’s disappointing for a brand that usually offers solid basics. Not something I’d book again without significant improvements.

The MAD Monkey Hostel at Coogee Beach is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm welcome from Joke at reception sets the tone for a fantastic stay. She’s incredibly friendly, always smiling, and genuinely goes out of her way to help guests with anything they need—whether it’s local tips, transport advice, or just a quick chat. Her positive energy is contagious and makes you feel right at home. Honestly, every hostel should have someone like Joke on duty—she truly makes the experience unforgettable. The vibe is relaxed, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are top-notch. I can’t recommend this place enough—will definitely be back!
