We had originally booked another hotel nearby, but due to full capacity, we ended up switching to this Novotel Munich City location in the heart of the city. Honestly, it completely surpassed our expectations! The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk or quick subway ride to major attractions. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with excellent amenities. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, offering a great mix of local and international options. What started as a last-minute change turned into one of the best parts of our trip. If you're visiting Munich, this hotel is definitely worth considering—it’s a hidden gem with top-notch service and value. I’d happily stay here again.

Staying at Aloft München was an absolute highlight of my trip to Munich. The hotel is literally across from the main train station—just step outside and cross the street, and you're there. I arrived early in the morning, and they were happy to store my luggage so I could start exploring right away. I visited BMW Museum and the Royal Palace Museum nearby, making the most of my time. Check-in was at 3 PM, but the staff made everything smooth and welcoming. The room was spotless, with a wonderfully comfortable bed—perfect for a good night’s rest. There's an electric kettle, though the water is quite hard, which didn’t affect my tea or coffee. Breakfast was fantastic—lots of variety, and the honey stood out: it came in whole chunks straight from the hive, raw and naturally sweet. It tasted incredible and reminded me how real food should be. This place offers unbeatable convenience, great comfort, and authentic touches that make it truly special.
Meininger Hotel München Olympiapark
We've stayed at this hotel for the second time, and we were thoroughly impressed again. Located just a few minutes away from Olympiapark, it's incredibly convenient for exploring Munich's attractions. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but our room was already upgraded—spacious, bright, and beautifully modernized. We loved the fresh design and comfortable layout. There are plenty of vending machines offering drinks and snacks, plus a shared kitchen with a fridge, toaster, and cooking essentials—perfect for preparing your own meals. The laundry room has two washing machines, which is super handy during longer stays. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, abundant, and well-prepared with no missing essentials. For guests who smoke, there are outdoor seating areas with benches and chairs, so you can enjoy a cigarette without disturbing others. Parking is available in the underground garage, making it easy to explore the city by car. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and value for money are excellent. This place truly delivers on comfort and convenience—definitely a top choice for travelers visiting Munich.
HI Munich Park Youth Hostel
We stayed at HI Munich Park Youth Hostel for just two nights during a quick transit stop. While it’s perfectly fine for a 4-5 night stay, it might feel a bit limiting if you’re planning to stay longer. That said, even though I’ve seen more modern hostels before, this one is still a solid option. The rooms are small and a bit dated, but clean and functional—especially since each room has its own private shower and toilet. There’s usually someone at reception, which is helpful for check-in or questions. Staff were consistently polite, though occasionally seemed a little disengaged. The location is great if you don’t want to be right in the city center—just a short walk from the Isar River, Tierpark (zoo), several cozy beer gardens, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast buffet was generous in variety, but not as fresh or high-quality as other hostels we’ve stayed at. Unfortunately, the rolls were dry on both mornings—probably too old. Still, the hostel offers plenty of free activities: table football, table tennis, board games, and common areas to hang out. It’s a good mix of convenience, affordability, and social atmosphere—ideal for travelers looking for a relaxed base without overspending.

The hotel is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the south exit of Munich Hauptbahnhof, making public transport access seamless whether you're heading into the city or to the airport. There were plenty of tea bags and coffee pods available, which added a warm, homey feel. Breakfast was outstanding: a generous spread of fresh breads, sausages, fruits, yogurts, and more—all delicious and well-prepared. But what truly stood out was the front desk staff. A gentleman there went above and beyond when I asked about Geisten HP8 Cultural Center. He not only looked up the location and transit details but also wrote down the exact subway route and station names clearly on paper. That kind of personal care made a big difference. I left feeling genuinely appreciated. This hotel offers comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Munich—and I’ve already recommended it to friends.

Still, the team handled it with kindness and flexibility—they let us complete the forms at check-in and even sent the documents to our parents directly. While the process felt a bit more strict than expected, I understand the need for safety measures, especially when it comes to younger travelers. That said, the overall experience was excellent, and I’m happy to give it a full 5 stars. If all Meininger locations maintain this standard—especially considering Munich is one of their oldest properties—I’d say they’re a safe, reliable choice for any budget-conscious traveler.

The bathroom was well-equipped with a shower, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and even hand lotion—very thoughtful touches. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary drinks in the mini bar, which made our stay more convenient and enjoyable. Breakfast was outstanding—huge variety and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I’d definitely book again next time I’m in Munich. Great location, close to public transport, and overall a top-tier hotel experience.

The hotel is well-connected, comfortable, and offers great value for money—definitely a top pick if you’re visiting Munich.
