Even better, the evening Japanese dining experience was excellent—authentic, well-prepared, and satisfying. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. Right outside the door are bus lines 18 and 19, making it super easy to explore downtown Munich or nearby attractions without hassle. Public transit access is seamless, and we didn’t need a car at all. For travelers who value convenience, comfort, and a touch of elegance, this hotel is a top-tier choice. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.

One minor note: the annex building doesn’t have an elevator, and since I was on the second floor near the breakfast area, light sleepers might be disturbed by early morning noises. That said, the hotel’s unique atmosphere, attention to design, and excellent service more than make up for it. A truly memorable stay with great value.

Thanks so much for making our trip unforgettable! The location is excellent—bus stop right outside the door, and we were just 10 minutes by car from Allianz Arena. Pizzeria, supermarket, and convenience store are all within walking distance, which made daily life super convenient. For our visit to Munich, this was a perfect fit. We’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

Still, the team handled it with kindness and flexibility—they let us complete the forms at check-in and even sent the documents to our parents directly. While the process felt a bit more strict than expected, I understand the need for safety measures, especially when it comes to younger travelers. That said, the overall experience was excellent, and I’m happy to give it a full 5 stars. If all Meininger locations maintain this standard—especially considering Munich is one of their oldest properties—I’d say they’re a safe, reliable choice for any budget-conscious traveler.

That said, if your booking doesn’t include breakfast, be sure to bring some snacks or plan ahead. There aren’t many dining options nearby, especially on weekends when many places are closed. Without a little preparation, you might find yourself hungry. Overall, though, this is a great value for money choice in central Munich—perfect for travelers who prioritize location, comfort, and a quiet, welcoming vibe.
