Staying at Munich Marriott Hotel City West was a fantastic experience overall. The room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent amenities that made the stay very enjoyable. The breakfast spread was impressive—plenty of variety and high quality, perfect for starting the day right. The only minor downside is the hotel's distance from the nearest subway station, about a 10-12 minute walk. However, there are always taxis available right outside the entrance, making transportation to the city center convenient. With great service, a well-located position near major attractions, and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel offers outstanding value. I’d definitely book here again.

Opening the windows brings in noticeable traffic noise, which can be disruptive, especially during quieter hours. If you keep the windows closed, the room can feel stuffy. For a more peaceful experience, opt for an interior-facing room. Despite that small caveat, the location is excellent—just a short walk to public transit, making it easy to explore downtown Munich. The ambiance is cozy, and the value for money is strong. I’d definitely consider returning on my next visit to the city.

While the process felt a bit more strict than expected, I understand the need for safety measures, especially when it comes to younger travelers. That said, the overall experience was excellent, and I’m happy to give it a full 5 stars. If all Meininger locations maintain this standard—especially considering Munich is one of their oldest properties—I’d say they’re a safe, reliable choice for any budget-conscious traveler.
