Staying at Hotel Pension Haydn in Munich was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just a 15-minute walk from the main tourist areas, making it easy to explore the city without spending too much time commuting. The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that made our stay feel like home. Even though it's not right in the heart of the city, there are plenty of hidden gems nearby—quirky cafés, local markets, and charming streets to wander through. Great value for money, excellent service, and a quiet, peaceful environment. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Munich.

The a&o München Hackerbrücke is a fantastic budget-friendly hostel with a smart concept that makes it accessible for travelers on any budget. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the train station and super convenient for exploring Munich. While the hostel itself is clean, well-organized, and staff are friendly, I did notice some guests staying for extended periods, which occasionally affected the vibe in shared spaces. There were moments when noise or lingering behavior made the atmosphere less relaxing, especially in the dorm rooms. That said, it's not something the hotel can control—guests vary, and it’s hard to manage all types of travelers. Still, the highlight by far was the rooftop bar. Great views, relaxed setting, and perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. It really elevated the whole experience.

The location is slightly outside the city center, so dining options nearby are limited—only one restaurant was open during our stay—but there are two supermarkets within walking distance, which made grocery shopping and getting water easy, especially on weekdays. What stood out most was the service: staff proactively cleaned our trash, changed towels, and tidied up the room without us even asking. That kind of thoughtful attention really made a difference. For a budget-friendly option with good value and a quiet atmosphere, this place is a great choice—especially if you’re looking for a peaceful base while still being close enough to explore Munich comfortably. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s clear this place takes pride in its service. One thing I didn’t notice on the website was the extra paperwork required for minors staying with non-parents, which caught me off guard. Still, the team handled it with kindness and flexibility—they let us complete the forms at check-in and even sent the documents to our parents directly. While the process felt a bit more strict than expected, I understand the need for safety measures, especially when it comes to younger travelers. That said, the overall experience was excellent, and I’m happy to give it a full 5 stars. If all Meininger locations maintain this standard—especially considering Munich is one of their oldest properties—I’d say they’re a safe, reliable choice for any budget-conscious traveler.

Rooms are small but well-renovated and comfortable, with modern touches throughout. Bathrooms are updated too—great shower, though the sink is on the smaller side. Cleanliness was decent but not perfect. Breakfast was surprisingly varied and generous, and priced lower than most local cafés. Overall, the value for money is excellent—great choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly yet convenient base in Munich.

The hotel is well-connected, comfortable, and offers great value for money—definitely a top pick if you’re visiting Munich.
