Manor Boutique Hotel
My one-night stay at Manor Boutique Hotel in Sydney turned out to be a major disappointment. The room was freezing cold, and the heater simply didn’t work—despite reporting it immediately to reception. A staff member came by to check, but the issue wasn’t resolved. We were told to wait until the next day for assistance, which made no sense when we were already leaving the following morning. After checking out, we never received a single follow-up call or message from the hotel. Poor communication, weak management, and zero customer care. The entire experience fell far short of expectations. I won’t be returning, and I definitely won’t recommend this place to friends or family. Given how unsatisfactory the service was, I believe a refund is absolutely warranted—this stay wasn’t worth the price.

The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed, though I did have to bring my own toothbrush and toothpaste (but that’s no big deal—there’s a Coles supermarket in the mall just steps away). I booked the city view room because I love having a window, and while there is a compressor unit outside, it’s not loud enough to be bothersome. I actually enjoyed watching the street life from my window. Overall, this hotel offers great value and a comfortable stay—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Sydney.

Central Studio Hotel Sydney
This hotel is incredibly well located—just a short walk from Chinatown and Central Station, with excellent access to buses and trains. It only takes minutes to get to the University of Sydney, and the skydiving pickup point is literally just 100 meters away. I was a bit nervous before booking after reading some negative reviews, but my stay turned out to be far better than expected. The service was friendly and efficient, and our room on the 11th floor offered unobstructed views of the city skyline—truly stunning. The room itself was spotless, clean, and well-maintained. Even though there was no housekeeping during our two-night stay and breakfast wasn’t included, the overall experience was still outstanding. For the price—only $500 per night during National Day—I’d say it’s an absolute steal compared to another hotel I considered that charged double for a smaller room and worse bed. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for comfort, location, and value.
