The atmosphere at Shiralee Hostel is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the welcoming vibe and friendly energy among guests. It's such a great place to meet fellow travelers and share stories. Located just a short walk from the city center, everything you need—restaurants, shops, and attractions—is within easy reach. The check-in process requires a valid passport, which adds a touch of authenticity and security. Overall, it's an incredible experience with a perfect mix of comfort, community, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make the most of their trip to Perth.
While not completely quiet, the overall experience is fantastic! The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the city center and surrounded by great dining options. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and has a unique, welcoming vibe. The beds are comfortable, and the room design stands out in a good way. With such a great value for the price, it’s definitely one of the top backpacker hostels I’ve stayed at. Highly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a solid base in Perth.
The location of Billabong Backpackers Resort is fantastic—just a 20-minute downhill walk from East Perth Station, which offers direct access to the airport. It’s also super convenient with a Woolies supermarket and a BWS liquor store right nearby. Every morning, they provide fresh bread for toast or PB&J, plus cereal and milk—perfect for a quick breakfast without leaving the hostel. The private room was spacious, well-equipped with a kettle, mugs, and complimentary tea and coffee supplies. There’s a $10 refundable deposit for dining sets, which is fair considering the quality. One small downside: Wi-Fi is only available in common areas, so no internet in the room. But the staff more than make up for it—they’re friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. We followed their advice to book a ferry to Rottnest Island to see the quokkas, and they even arranged pickup and drop-off, making the whole experience seamless. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked, so preparing your own meals is easy and enjoyable. Overall, this place offers excellent value, a welcoming vibe, and a great base for exploring Perth.
Staying at Ozi Inn Backpackers in Perth was an absolute highlight of our trip. Though it's housed in an older building, the place is immaculately clean and well-maintained. What really stood out was the monthly free BBQs—perfect for meeting fellow travelers and soaking up the local vibe. It’s great to see that many of the backpackers working here are also guests, creating a friendly, community-like atmosphere. The management is clearly committed to continuous improvements—every room is being freshly painted, new curtains and cupboards are being installed, and the place feels like it’s evolving with every visit. Our new manager was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. Overall, this was more than just a place to sleep—it was a memorable experience full of great people, good energy, and genuine hospitality. We’d absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
The host is incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind—always ready to help with tips or advice. This place feels more like a cozy shared house than a typical hostel, with thoughtfully arranged common areas that make socializing easy. The space is clean, well-maintained, and not crowded at all—there’s plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped. The beds are comfortable, the atmosphere is warm, and everyone around is friendly, making it easy to strike up conversations and even form quick friendships. It’s perfect for both short trips and longer stays, especially if you’re looking to meet fellow travelers in a relaxed setting. Plus, being just a short walk from public transport makes exploring Perth effortless. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine, homely experience.
I stayed at MyOzExp Palmerston Lodge and had a fantastic experience overall. The room was cleaned daily, the bathroom was spotless, and having a fridge in the room was a real plus. The kitchen is spacious and comes fully equipped with everything you'd need for cooking—perfect for longer stays or self-catering. Location-wise, it's ideal—just a short walk from Northbridge, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. The only downside was the Wi-Fi signal, which wasn't very strong in some areas. Still, this minor issue didn’t take away from the great value and comfort. I’d definitely recommend this place to travelers looking for a quiet, well-kept stay with easy access to the city center.
I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist with any request—whether it was travel tips or just a friendly chat. The vibe was perfectly balanced: lively enough to meet fellow travelers, yet relaxed enough to unwind after a long day exploring Perth. Everything was spotless and well-organized, especially the shared kitchen and bathrooms—so convenient for cooking meals or freshening up. Its central location is a huge plus; I was steps away from shops, cafes, and public transport, making getting around super easy. This place truly stood out among all the hostels I’ve stayed in during my trip. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Perth!
Absolutely flawless from arrival to checkout—this place truly feels like a hidden gem. Nestled just off the bustling city centre, it’s a short walk to East Perth train station or Beaufort Street, where you’ll find lively pubs and great dining options. The four ground-level suites are thoughtfully designed, offering privacy, comfort, and everything you’d need for a relaxing stay. Each suite is beautifully appointed with modern touches and thoughtful amenities. The pool area is serene and inviting—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ending to our Perth holiday. Highly recommend this charming retreat for anyone looking for a peaceful yet convenient base in the city.
The Quest Innaloo is a fantastic choice for a comfortable stay in Perth. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, with a clean, fresh feel that makes you want to relax right away. Staff are friendly and efficient—check-in was quick, and any requests were handled promptly. What really stands out is the location: it's just a short walk from the beach and close to public transport, making it easy to explore the city or enjoy some seaside time. The hotel offers great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Perth.
Staying at Holiday Inn West Perth was an absolute delight. The hotel is spotless and well-maintained, with a clean, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—always smiling and ready to assist with any request. What truly sets this place apart is its fantastic location: just a short stroll from Kings Park and the Swan River, perfect for enjoying sunset views or a peaceful riverside walk. There are countless dining options nearby, ranging from casual cafes to full-service restaurants, making it easy to grab a meal without having to travel far. Public transport access is excellent—buses and trains are within walking distance, so getting around Perth is super convenient. Overall, the combination of comfort, cleanliness, and unbeatable location makes this hotel an outstanding choice. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Perth.
Staying at the Great Southern Hotel Perth was an absolute delight! The family room was surprisingly spacious, with a large bathroom that felt very clean and well-maintained—everything was fresh and comfortable. Check-in was super easy using the self-service kiosk: just swipe your credit card for a $1 hold, and you’re done. Returning the key at checkout was hassle-free, and they even offered free luggage storage—perfect for travelers with multiple bags. The hotel’s location is unbeatable; right next to the train station, we picked up a $10.40 family day pass for unlimited public transit across Perth. We explored the city effortlessly, and it was especially convenient for visiting Chinatown nearby. The area is safe, even at night, and there are plenty of affordable, delicious Chinese restaurants within walking distance. Overall, this hotel offers great value, excellent service, and a peaceful stay—highly recommend for families or anyone looking for comfort and convenience in Perth.
Stayed here for four nights and was genuinely impressed with the entire experience. The staff went above and beyond—when we asked to replace our room kettle, they promptly provided a brand-new one, which was a thoughtful touch. Location-wise, it’s ideal: very walkable to restaurants, cafes, and local shops like Chemist Warehouse, making daily errands super convenient. I even found a hidden gem—Subi Fish and Chips—where the squid rings are absolutely worth trying. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. This hotel offers great value and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Perth.
