The hotel itself is clean, surrounded by lush greenery, and the rooms are spacious and tidy—big enough for a family of four with two adults and two kids, which made sleeping arrangements far more comfortable than in many other places I've stayed. The food was delicious, with authentic flavors and excellent service throughout. While the bathroom could use a little renovation, overall cleanliness is impressive. The views are stunning, and being away from the main tourist bustle makes it feel like a true escape. There's even a Dolmus shuttle running directly from the hotel to town, so getting around is easy. That said, the sea isn’t as crystal-clear or turquoise as in Alanya, and there’s some noticeable pollution—especially on nearby wild beaches where littering is an issue. But honestly, these small drawbacks don’t overshadow the overall experience. After my 15th trip to Turkey, I kept coming back to this hotel because it delivers exactly what I want: calm, comfort, and authenticity. If you’re seeking real rest without the crowds, this is a top pick. I can’t understand why some reviews are negative—this place has earned its reputation.

We stayed at Bodrum Holiday Resort & Spa for two weeks at the end of October, and were thoroughly impressed. The weather was perfect—air temperatures between 23–25°C and sea temps around 22–23°C. It was warm enough to enjoy the sun without feeling overheated, and pleasantly cool in the shade, making it ideal for relaxing without the intense heat common in peak season. The property grounds are beautifully landscaped with plenty of greenery and trees, offering a peaceful place to stroll. The only minor challenge was navigating with a stroller due to several steps and inclines—but on day two, we discovered a smooth route to the beach via a ramp near the Turkish bar, which might be helpful for other guests with similar needs 🙂. The shoreline is long and spacious, which is rare in this area. The beach features a mix of fine sand and small pebbles, and along the rest of the coast, pontoons with ladders make swimming easy and safe. The sea is incredibly clear and pristine—no litter, no pollution—evidence that the resort is situated away from the main bay of Bodrum, giving guests crystal-clear waters. Dining was consistently good: variety, fresh ingredients, and well-prepared meals. There’s always a grill menu with fish, chicken, and beef rotating every other day, plenty of hot dishes, and delicious desserts. While we missed the full animation schedule (as it was late season), the food and service remained solid—fewer guests meant quieter vibes and more personal attention. The location is excellent: just steps from the minibus stop and taxi station. It takes about 15 minutes to reach downtown Bodrum—minibus fare is around 40 TRY, and a taxi costs roughly €9. Buses run every half hour, making travel convenient. The hotel itself shows signs of age but maintains a welcoming atmosphere. Daily housekeeping and towel changes kept everything fresh, and they quickly provided a separate crib for our child, which also doubled as a playpen—very thoughtful and practical. Overall, it was a calm, comfortable, and memorable retreat. If you're looking for a relaxed, low-key end-of-season getaway with great value and genuine hospitality, this resort is an excellent choice.

Common areas were kept immaculately clean, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. What stood out most was how genuinely happy and welcoming the team was throughout our entire vacation—making it a joyful and relaxing getaway. We’re already counting down the days to come back. This hotel has earned a permanent spot on our list of favorite places to stay.

This is our fourth visit to this hotel, and every time we stay here, it feels like coming home—warm, welcoming, and full of that family-like vibe. The food is absolutely outstanding, especially the pizza—no words can do it justice! Our favorite part was getting to know the staff by name: Chef Ali, Chef Omer, Chef Ahmet, Chef Yusuf, and Chef Sherife—thank you all so much for your incredible hospitality. The waitstaff, both male and female, were all cheerful, friendly, and genuinely warm-hearted. We had an unforgettable night at the Turkish-themed event—we danced till late, even though the place officially closed at 11 PM. We stayed well past midnight, completely immersed in the fun. Let’s be honest: Gumbet’s heart is lively, so expect some noise—it’s part of the charm. If you’re looking for quiet, just put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door. But if you want energy, great vibes, amazing food, and a truly memorable stay, this place is a must-visit. I’d come back in a heartbeat—highly recommended!

Location-wise, it's perfect—close to everything we wanted to explore, from beaches to local restaurants and shops. Everything is just a short walk away, which made our days so much easier.
