The property is located in a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), meaning only authorized vehicles like taxis or local residents can drive directly into the area. Non-local drivers must walk about 10 minutes to reach the entrance. While taxis and Uber drop you right at the door, some transfer services don’t account for this restriction. I had my driver carry four suitcases for that distance—grueling but thankfully he was very kind and patient. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault; they clearly mention the ZTL situation on their official website. The issue lies with the tour operator not providing proper guidance about access challenges in restricted zones. Overall, the hotel is exceptional—just make sure your transportation plan accounts for the ZTL rule.
