Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia - Penns Landing

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Philadelphia, just a short walk to the waterfront and nearby attractions. While some sights require a bit of walking, the scenic riverside path makes it enjoyable. The room was comfortably sized—ideal for two adults and a teenager in the twin beds. The bedding was supportive and cozy, making for a restful night. Breakfast was a highlight: warm options included oatmeal, crispy potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and fresh homemade waffles—all served with strong coffee. Cold drinks like milk and juice were also available. It’s a well-rounded selection that feels generous without being overwhelming. The overall experience exceeded expectations, especially considering the value. I’d definitely stay here again, whether traveling solo or with family, and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed yet convenient base in Philly.

Apple Hostels of Philadelphia

The shared rooms were surprisingly comfortable even with multiple guests—beds were spaced just right, offering enough personal space without feeling cramped. I was impressed by how quiet the room remained at night, despite the shared environment. No noise disturbances whatsoever, making for a restful sleep. The hostel is well-designed and thoughtfully laid out, and being just a short ride from downtown Philadelphia makes it super convenient. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, affordable stay in a lively city like Philly. I’ll definitely be returning.

I absolutely loved my experience at the restaurant and bar within Society Hill Hotel—truly a standout spot in Philly. The food was exceptional, featuring inventive dishes with a fresh, local flair that really highlighted regional flavors. The atmosphere was effortlessly cool and welcoming, making it perfect for a relaxed night out with friends or a low-key date. Drinks were top-notch too—especially the craft cocktails and rotating selection of local beers. It’s one of those places that feels like a hidden gem, yet so easy to find. If you’re in Philadelphia, this is a must-visit destination for both food lovers and casual diners alike.

Knights Inn Phildelphia

I recently stayed at Knights Inn Philadelphia and was genuinely impressed with the overall experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious for a budget-friendly option. The bed was comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. Location-wise, it's just a short walk from the subway station, which made commuting around Philadelphia super convenient. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and checkout. I also appreciated the modern bathroom fixtures and consistent hot water supply—small details that make a big difference. Despite being an economical choice, the attention to cleanliness and comfort really stood out. It’s a solid pick for travelers looking for value without compromising on basics. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Philly.

Lokal Hotel Old City

Staying at Lokal Hotel Old City felt like living in a stylish, compact apartment right in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district. The location is perfect—walking distance to major attractions and local gems. My room, Betsi (the first one up the stairs), had a great layout with a separate bedroom, cozy living area, mini kitchenette, dining space, and even a laundry corner—ideal for longer stays or those who prefer self-contained spaces. High ceilings and tasteful decor added charm and character throughout. Check-in was completely contactless via a simple code—no keys needed, which made everything seamless and convenient. I appreciated the modern, efficient touch. This isn’t just a hotel; it’s a homey retreat with city vibes. Highly recommend for travelers seeking authenticity, comfort, and smart design without the hassle.

Wm. Mulherin's Sons Hotel

Great stay overall! The hotel is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the L train station, making it easy to explore downtown Philadelphia. One thing to note: the L train stops running around midnight, so plan your return accordingly. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with all the amenities you’d expect. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Loved the vibe—perfect mix of comfort and urban style. Definitely planning to come back on our next trip to Philly.

Sonder the Edison

We stayed at this apartment with my wife and our 2-year-old toddler for three nights, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The location isn’t right in the heart of downtown, but it’s very convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Reading Terminal Market and Independence Hall. There’s a metro station just 300 meters away, and since Philadelphia’s subway system only has two lines, it’s super easy to navigate. The apartment itself is brand new, fully equipped, and thoughtfully designed. Everything you’d need is here: a full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer (a game-changer when traveling with a young kid), smart TV with free internet, air conditioning, heating, hairdryer, and even coffee-making supplies left for us. The neighborhood is quiet yet vibrant, and we felt safe walking back at night with the stroller—no issues at all. The rooftop deck is a real highlight—great for relaxing or enjoying city views. The only minor hiccup? If there’s even a small amount of smoke while cooking (we had a pizza in the oven!), the fire alarm goes off—so be mindful if you’re baking. But honestly, that’s a tiny trade-off for such a great stay. Any questions or concerns were instantly resolved through the Sonder app. Super responsive and helpful. We’d definitely book again—excellent value and a truly comfortable home away from home.

The Frankford Fishtown

I've stayed at several similar properties, but this neighborhood truly stood out as my favorite. The area is vibrant and walkable—great restaurants just steps away, and sidewalks make getting around effortless. The building itself was immaculate, and the rooftop view was absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. I also loved that there was plenty of free street parking nearby—no stress about finding a spot. It's a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and character. Definitely going to come back.

The staff went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and memorable. The on-site restaurant exceeded expectations—fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, and a great variety of dishes. Breakfast was especially impressive with something for everyone. Located just steps away from the subway, getting around Philadelphia was super easy. We stayed with our family, and everyone loved it. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a true experience. I’d absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
