When we returned, my dog had somehow torn off the bottom door panel and escaped. Panic set in—I was overwhelmed, scared, and completely lost in the unfamiliar neighborhood. I couldn’t stop crying, shouting my dog’s name through the quiet alleyway. Thankfully, neighbors heard me and came down in droves—over twenty people joined the search effort. My husband contacted the host, who immediately showed up, shared photos on the community group, and helped coordinate. Within two hours, someone reported seeing the dog at their home. A crowd of kind strangers followed me to meet them—and there it was, my little one safe and sound. I broke down in tears again, so grateful I could finally hold him. The host even pulled security footage to confirm the timeline and direction of the escape. The next day, when I mentioned wanting to go out again, the hosts surprised me by riding their motorcycle over 20 minutes just to stay with the dog, take photos, play outside, and only left after we returned late at night.
