My 5-star rating goes to Ms. Alcira, the front desk staff—thank you so much for your genuine kindness and warm hospitality! Your attention to detail and willingness to help without expecting anything in return made a huge difference. It's clear the hotel owner is truly lucky to have someone like you on their team. While the hotel itself is great, it’s your exceptional service that truly stands out and made our stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back just to experience your wonderful attitude again!

Staying at Hotel Cartagena DC was an absolute delight—perfect for both relaxation and work. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from downtown Cartagena, with a shopping center and gas station right around the corner. The family room was quiet, spacious, and well-designed, offering a peaceful retreat after a busy day. Cleanliness was top-notch, staff were friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi connection was strong throughout our stay. Breakfast was solid, though a bit limited in variety—still tasty and satisfying. Hot water ran smoothly, the bathrooms were stylish and functional, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep. I especially appreciated the dedicated workspace with individual lighting, ideal for remote work. The pool was warm and inviting, and the city views from the rooms were breathtaking. Everything about this hotel felt thoughtfully done—from the amenities to the attention to detail. It’s a true gem in Cartagena, offering great value and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again.

I stayed here again after taking advantage of a great deal, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I stepped out of my room, Clarita greeted me with a delicious cup of Colombian coffee—she remembers my preference! Rodrigo, who takes care of the hostel at night, is incredibly kind and always up for a chat. If you’re looking to truly immerse yourself in local culture, this is hands down the best place to stay. The beds are super comfortable, with fresh linens and soft towels—everything is spotless and well-maintained. Leandra, the owner, is attentive and always ready to help. Breakfast changes daily, offering a variety of traditional Colombian arepas made from corn—especially the Sunday special, the egg arepa, which is a true Cartagena favorite and absolutely delicious. Need a taxi? They arrange one quickly with minimal wait time. Located just 30 minutes from downtown Cartagena, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city while still enjoying a quiet, authentic vibe. I highly recommend this hostel—don’t hesitate to book your stay here!

The location is extremely isolated—there's absolutely nothing around, not even a convenience store or restaurant within walking distance. Public transportation options are practically nonexistent, making it very inconvenient to get around. While the property itself is clean and well-maintained, the lack of nearby amenities and accessibility really drags down the overall experience. For the price and rating, this isn't a good value. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have no other choice.

The service was exceptionally professional, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Being close to the bus terminal is a huge plus—great for getting around town with ease. Plus, the area is peaceful and quiet, making it perfect for unwinding after a long day. It’s definitely a top choice if you’re looking for comfort and convenience in Cartagena.

Great value for a one-night stay! The hotel is very flexible with check-in times, so no worries if you arrive late. Breakfast was simple but satisfying—just arepas, eggs, and hot chocolate, perfect to start the day. The room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s well-located, just a short walk from the city center, making it easy to explore Cartagena without spending too much on accommodation. If you're looking for a budget-friendly, reliable place to rest overnight, this is a solid choice—no complaints at all.

The location is convenient and close to the historic district, making it easy to explore Cartagena on foot. The price is very reasonable for a budget-friendly stay, which is great if you're just looking for a basic place to sleep. However, I only stayed one night and was seriously disturbed by loud music coming from outside around 10–11 PM. Even though this is an affordable, no-frills property, guests should at least expect peace and quiet—especially when paying such a low rate. It’s hard to rest with constant noise spilling into the rooms. If you value tranquility, this might not be the best choice. A simple fix like better soundproofing or stricter rules on outdoor noise could make a big difference in guest satisfaction.

Our stay at Hotel Sol Del Este in Cartagena didn’t meet expectations. The air conditioning in the room was ineffective—even on maximum setting, it never felt cool enough, making it uncomfortable, especially during the hot evenings. We had to ask twice for towels, and despite being a couple, only one towel was initially provided. The bed was very uncomfortable—too firm and lacking proper support, which disrupted our sleep quality. To make things worse, there was only one electrical outlet in the entire room, which made charging devices a real challenge, particularly with multiple gadgets. While the staff were polite, the service responsiveness could be improved. Overall, the room didn’t deliver value for money, and we’d recommend looking elsewhere if comfort and convenience are priorities.
