Hotel Uday Palace
The booking process was extremely confusing and frustrating. I initially booked with a pay-at-property option, but later received a QR code asking for payment instead—there was no clear explanation or consistency. To make matters worse, my reservation was canceled by the hotel without any prior notice. Being left stranded at the last minute is incredibly stressful and unprofessional. The entire experience felt disorganized and unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here under any circumstances. Save your time and avoid this place.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but visited the restaurant twice, and it was an absolute delight. Warm and welcoming service, a beautifully elegant setting, and truly exceptional food—each dish was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. Portions were generous, and the value for money was outstanding. The whole experience felt premium without being overpriced. Definitely a standout spot in Varanasi, and I’d happily return or recommend it to friends.

The location is convenient, just a short metro ride to the city center, but the room amenities are quite disappointing. The electrical switchboard is outdated and unreliable—some switches don’t work properly, and it takes too long to find the right one. The worst part? There’s no TV signal at all. I couldn’t get any channel or even a basic picture, which really affected my stay. While the price is reasonable for the area, basic facilities like working lights and a functioning TV should be a must. It’s hard to recommend this place if these issues aren’t addressed. Hope the management can improve the infrastructure soon.

The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, with a nice balance between simplicity and functionality. That said, there’s room for improvement in housekeeping standards and the range of amenities—some basic items could be replenished more regularly. Still, considering the affordable rates and prime location, this hotel offers excellent bang for your buck. If you're looking for a no-frills yet reliable base in Varanasi, I’d definitely recommend giving Hotel Siddharth a try.

It’s just steps away from a lively market, perfect for grabbing snacks or souvenirs. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a clean, calming vibe. Staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Overall, this was a fantastic stay with great value and a welcoming atmosphere—I’d definitely return.

The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. What truly stood out was the staff—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I especially want to thank the restaurant team (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name!) for taking the time to explain local attractions and even helping me plan my sightseeing itinerary. Their guidance made my trip so much more meaningful. With excellent food, thoughtful service, and a peaceful atmosphere, this hotel offers great value and a memorable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Varanasi.

Amazing hospitality! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean—perfect for a relaxing stay. Neeraj went above and beyond, even personally taking us on a short boat ride along the Ganges to witness a vibrant local celebration just a 2-minute walk from the guesthouse. We enjoyed our meals on the rooftop every evening—delicious food with breathtaking views of the river. It felt like being part of the moment, not just a tourist. Grateful for Neeraj and his team’s warmth and effort. This place truly stands out. If you're in Varanasi, don’t miss it!
The Century Plaza Hotel
Staying at The Century Plaza Hotel in Varanasi was a solid experience overall. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city, making everything easily accessible by foot. The room was clean and well-equipped with all the basics you’d expect. However, there was a persistent sewer smell coming from the bathroom that required keeping the exhaust fan on for long periods—unfortunately, it’s quite noisy, which disrupted rest. This issue also affected my friends’ room during their stay, and neither room had windows, so ventilation was limited. I didn’t request daily cleaning as I picked up a stomach bug and needed to isolate myself for days. That said, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they arranged early check-in and late checkout without hesitation, which made things much easier. The hotel has its own restaurant offering only vegetarian cuisine, perfect for those with dietary preferences. While not ideal for longer stays due to the ventilation and odor concerns, it’s a convenient and practical choice for a 2-3 night visit. I’d recommend this hotel for short trips, especially if you’re prioritizing location and service.
