Staying at Hotel Bristol Salzburg was an absolute delight. The hotel has a classic, elegant exterior that perfectly captures the charm of Salzburg, but inside, the renovations are fresh and modern—far more impressive than the photos suggest. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making our experience even more memorable. Best of all, the hotel is literally across the street from Mozart's Birthplace and Mirabell Gardens—just step outside and you're immersed in the city's cultural heart. No need for taxis or public transport; everything is within walking distance. Imlauer Hotel Pitter Salzburg

Staying at Imlauer Hotel Pitter Salzburg was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff—especially the friendly and handsome guy behind the counter—made us feel welcome with warm smiles and excellent service. They even surprised us with a delicious chocolate treat that was rich, smooth, and absolutely perfect. They also printed our transportation tickets, which saved us so much time and hassle. The room was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable—ideal for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was outstanding: a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options from local pastries to international favorites. Even though the price is on the higher side, it’s completely justified by the location, service, and overall experience—especially during peak season. We stayed for three nights, and this was my second visit to Salzburg, yet the city still feels magical. This hotel truly captures its charm. The rooftop terrace in the restaurant (photos one and two) offered stunning views, perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. A memorable stay that I’d definitely recommend.

Dorint City-Hotel Salzburg

This hotel is a fantastic choice if you're looking for something modern, clean, and well-priced. The location isn't right in the heart of Old Town—about a 15-minute walk—but it's very convenient with good public transport access. The rooms are on the smaller side, but honestly, that didn’t bother me at all since we were out exploring most of the day. I just needed a cozy place to rest at night, and this hotel delivered perfectly. It’s not perfect in every aspect, but for the price and quality, it’s absolutely worth it. Great value, great vibe, and highly recommended.

I especially appreciated the CK Shuttle service, which offers direct transfers between hotels and key destinations—no need to worry about luggage or timing. The room itself was immaculately clean, with a smart layout that separates the toilet and bathroom for added privacy and hygiene. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. For travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and great value, this hotel is a top choice.

Hotel Stein - Adults Only

We stayed at Hotel Stein because of its prime location and stunning views from the room—truly breathtaking, especially at sunset. The rooftop bar and restaurant are a real highlight: relaxed atmosphere, great drinks, and excellent food. The staff went above and beyond—they helped us plan our trip to the Designer Premium Outlet by showing us the map and giving clear directions on how to catch the bus. One front desk attendant even handed us a voucher slip for discounts at the outlet—such a thoughtful touch! The rooms were brand new, spotless, and beautifully updated with modern amenities. The ground-floor lounge area is cozy and perfect for unwinding after a day out. Overall, an exceptional experience with top-notch service, comfort, and value. Definitely worth returning.

Hotel Heffterhof

Located a bit outside of Salzburg city center, Hotel Heffterhof requires either a car or public transportation to reach—though it's actually quite convenient once you're there. We arrived late at night, but the staff were incredibly reliable and got us checked in swiftly without any hassle. The breakfast was excellent—fresh, varied, and full of local touches that made the morning feel special. One tip: be sure to contact the hotel in advance to request a tourist card, which grants free access to the city’s public buses. This is a huge plus for travelers exploring the area. Despite the slight distance from downtown, the hospitality, comfort, and added perks make this stay well worth it. A truly memorable experience with great value.

Space-wise, it felt generous and airy, making even a short stay feel comfortable and relaxed. What truly stood out was the location: just a 2-minute walk from the main train station, and within walking distance to key attractions like Old Town, St. Peter's Abbey, and Mozart's Birthplace. Public transit is also super convenient—most places are reachable within 30 minutes by bus. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, central, and well-designed retreat in Salzburg. Highly recommend this gem for travelers who value comfort, convenience, and quality.

Sarah's Altstadt Oase Salzburg

The location of this apartment is excellent—right in the heart of Salzburg, making it super convenient for exploring the city on foot or by public transit. However, my overall experience was disappointing. The shower flooded the room during use, causing a mess and requiring extra cleanup. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, which made it hard to check travel info or stay connected. I was also disappointed that the promised breakfast wasn’t provided. While the small welcome gifts like fruit and chocolates were thoughtful, they didn’t make up for the inconvenience and added stress. For the price paid, the issues felt more significant than the gestures could compensate. It’s a shame because with better maintenance and attention to detail, this place could be a great option.

Every corner is picture-perfect—my photos turned out better than I ever imagined. The breakfast was exceptional: fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented—worth waking up early for. It’s not just a stay; it’s an experience that lives in your memory long after you leave. If you’re visiting Salzburg, this is the place to make your trip unforgettable.

Hotel Max 70

This hotel offers incredible value for money! Just a 10-minute tram ride from Salzburg’s central station, it might seem a bit far from the city center at first glance, but if you're not in a rush, this place is absolutely worth it. The rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The front desk staff stands out: a charming young guy and a friendly lady who went above and beyond. They patiently helped me book a day tour the next morning and even shared some great local tips. Their warm hospitality made a real difference. I left feeling welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Salzburg!

Apt. Stone-Lodge

Before our arrival, we received multiple emails with detailed PDFs outlining all the amenities and services offered by the property—very thorough! However, upon arrival, we ran into parking issues. The apartment is located on a pedestrian-only street, and the nearby covered parking (€44 per day!) was fully booked, as were all the paid spots along the main road (max 180 minutes, with fees). We reached out to the host, who was incredibly helpful and responsive in finding a solution. Access to the property required a code, but due to a technical glitch, we didn’t receive it until calling the host right before check-in. As described on the platform, the building sits adjacent to the mountain—so no elevator, just a narrow, steep staircase with low ceilings. Entry wasn’t easy, especially if you’re carrying luggage. The studio was small but well-equipped: kitchenware, dishes, pots, kettle, coffee machine (with complimentary pods, tea bags, and two Mozart chocolates), towels, iron and ironing board, fridge, dish soap, even salt and oil. Bathroom was tiny but clean. The window faced the quiet private street—great for peace and privacy. It’s only a 10-minute walk to the historic center, which is convenient. Overall, the charm of being tucked into the mountainside is undeniable. But honestly, the access challenges, lack of storage space, no bedside tables or shelves near the bed, and the extremely compact bathroom make it hard to justify the price point. Some things are unavoidable given the age and location—but if the value-for-money balance were better, this would be a much stronger recommendation.
