The room was spotless, though slightly noisy since it was on the first floor. That said, the two comfortable beds and spacious bathroom with a large bathtub made up for it. Reliable and fast Wi-Fi kept me connected throughout my trip. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Moricz Zsigmond tér, Budapest Kelenföld Railway Station, and public transport stops (tram and bus) are right outside. Their friendly and efficient service made a big difference. Overall, this hotel offers comfort, convenience, and exceptional hospitality—definitely a top choice for visitors to Budapest.
Erkel Rooftop Suites
Our stay at Erkel Rooftop Suites in Budapest was extremely disappointing. We left the apartment with the air conditioning on due to the sweltering heat, only to return and find that both AC units were completely non-functional. We had just one working fan, while the second one was broken. To make things worse, the umbrella on the terrace was also damaged, leaving us unable to use the outdoor space under the blazing sun. The next day, a technician arrived but told us neither the umbrella nor the ACs could be repaired — and he didn’t even bring any tools to fix the broken fan. Later, another staff member showed up with a replacement fan, claiming he wasn’t informed about the issue and therefore came unprepared. What made it worse was that I paid a €150 deposit for potential damages, with a clear promise of refund within 2–7 business days. After three days of follow-ups, there’s still no response or refund. No communication, no solutions — just silence. It feels like we were treated as a cash grab rather than guests. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the property, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

While the front desk closes at 7 PM, the process is smooth and well-organized. The room was spotless, with crisp white linens and fresh towels—everything felt clean and welcoming. I especially loved the cozy café downstairs; it’s perfect for a quick breakfast or a morning coffee. Nearby, there’s also an excellent money exchange shop with great rates, which made my trip even more convenient.
