Borough Market Apartments
The experience at this property was extremely disappointing and far from what was promised. When I inquired about a crib, the host initially quoted double the price listed—only after pointing out the discrepancy did they agree to honor the advertised rate. We arrived late after an overnight flight with our toddler and wanted to check in as soon as possible, but were told we’d have to wait a full day with no refund for the first night. In reality, check-in simply involved picking up keys at a 24-hour convenience store—no issues at all if they’d been honest upfront. The address provided during booking was incorrect—the actual location was worse, farther from public transit, and less convenient than expected. Plus, the key pickup point was half a mile away, meaning we had to carry our luggage and baby through the city on foot. The apartment itself was poorly maintained: bare walls, worn furniture, and everything uncomfortable. Most critically, it was freezing inside—so cold we had to wear winter coats indoors. We spent hours messaging and calling for help turning on the heat, but responses were delayed and calls went unanswered. We never got any warmth. Eventually, we left to find another place to stay. Afterward, they claimed the heating is controlled by the building and couldn’t be adjusted—something that should’ve been disclosed before booking. To date, they still refuse to issue a refund. This is not just poor service—it feels like misleading marketing and bad faith. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed at this hotel as a family of five for four nights, and overall we had a great experience. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the metro and close to major attractions. The apartment-style rooms were spacious, with a private balcony offering stunning views of The Shard from every room. We appreciated the generous supply of towels, strong security, and the welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. That said, there are a few areas for improvement: the air conditioning could be stronger, the beds were slightly smaller than expected, and the bathroom needed some maintenance—there were cracked tiles, a broken bath overflow, and a leaking showerhead. Also, while the view was fantastic, we noticed it got quite noisy at night due to the rooftop terrace bar staying open until 2 AM. Next time, we’d definitely try a room on the opposite side of the building for quieter evenings. Despite these minor issues, the hotel offers great value and is highly recommended for families or travelers looking for comfort and convenience in central London.

Staying at Kennington B & B was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the Northern Line (black line) station, and you can reach central London on foot in just 15 minutes if you prefer to walk. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you’d need for a relaxing stay. The bed was cozy, the bathroom spotless, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. Kimberly, the hostess, went above and beyond—warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel right at home. This place has such a personal touch, and it’s clear she takes pride in her guest experience. I’ll definitely recommend this gem to friends and will be back myself on my next trip to London.

Staying at Aeria Apartments Hope House was an absolute highlight of my London trip. The apartment is fully self-check-in, which made everything super convenient—no waiting around for staff, just straight in. Inside, the space was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed: a full kitchenette, washing machine, microwave, and even high-speed Wi-Fi. It felt like home from the moment we stepped in. The location is unbeatable—within a 10-minute walk to major attractions, and the neighborhood is safe, quiet, and well-connected. There's a small grocery store right downstairs, so grabbing snacks or essentials was effortless. Unfortunately, I only got to stay one night, but it was such a great experience that I wish I could’ve extended my stay. If you're visiting London and want comfort, convenience, and a real local vibe, this place is a must-book.

The 2-bedroom apartment near the US Embassy in London was a mixed experience. While the location is convenient and close to key attractions, the unit itself felt a bit worn out. The beds were comfortable but narrow for two adults, so sleeping space was tight. Furniture looked dated and not very clean—some pieces even had visible signs of use. Unfortunately, the front desk staff didn’t offer much guidance on how to use the electrical appliances or set up the Wi-Fi, which made things a little frustrating upon arrival. We also had to request fresh towels because the ones provided were visibly dirty. Overall, it’s not a bad option if you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with easy access to central London, but don’t expect high-end comfort or spotless conditions. For travelers prioritizing cleanliness and modern amenities, this may fall short.
