Staying at Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa was a truly memorable experience. The view from the room is absolutely stunning—every morning I woke up to the endless ocean vista, and the sunsets were nothing short of magical. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, though the mattress could feel a bit soft for heavier guests. A few outlets didn’t work properly in my room, so it’s worth checking when you check in. One thing to note: the hotel doesn’t provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or disposable slippers—pack your own essentials. Breakfast has improved since last year! While still not quite catering to every taste (especially for those craving Chinese flavors), there’s now more variety than before, with fresh local options. Overall, the breathtaking coastal setting makes this place unforgettable. It’s definitely a top choice if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with nature at your doorstep. I’d absolutely recommend it—and I’ll be back.

This is an exceptional stay, perfectly situated near the scenic waterfront of Cape Town. The facilities are top-notch, staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, and the on-site restaurant offers a great dining experience—though we only had dinner once. However, the complimentary breakfast was outstanding: well-stocked with fresh options, and the chef went out of their way to accommodate special requests. I had one of the best omelettes I’ve ever tasted in years—worth every bit of the praise. Room Wi-Fi was reliable, the space was clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. One minor note: the shower enclosure in my room used a transparent partition, which might not suit guests who value privacy. A frosted or translucent material would have been preferable. Despite this small concern, the overall experience was outstanding. With its unbeatable location, excellent service, and thoughtful touches, this hotel delivers real value. I’d happily return.

We stayed at Southern Light Country House from March 15th to 21st, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring Cape Town. What truly made the stay special was Milo, the resident cat who warmly welcomed us and added a touch of homey charm. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, hearty, and delicious, giving us the energy we needed to power through our workdays. The two hosts were genuinely warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome and taken care of. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with great hospitality and a cozy atmosphere, this guesthouse is a must-visit. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

I absolutely loved the staff at The Quarter Apartments by TPF! From the moment I arrived, the team was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable—whether it was helping with directions, offering local tips, or simply greeting me with a warm smile. Their professionalism and genuine care made a huge difference. The location is fantastic too—close to the city center and surrounded by great restaurants and attractions. It’s rare to find such hospitality in a modern apartment-style hotel, and I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Cape Town.
Flatrock Suites
Staying at Flatrock Suites was a major disappointment. The hotel is located directly above a nightclub, and the loud music and constant laughter kept going until 6 a.m., making it nearly impossible to sleep. I booked a two-bedroom suite, but only one room had air conditioning— the other had no fan at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the heat. To make matters worse, the DSTV service didn’t work, and despite reaching out to the property management team, I received zero support or assistance. There were also no curtains or blinds on the main bedroom door, so sunlight flooded into the room by 5 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. Overall, the experience was poor, with multiple basic amenities failing and no effort from staff to resolve issues. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, and great value for money. I’d highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Cape Town. It’s definitely a place I’ll come back to.

Walking into Thirty on Grace, you're greeted with an open, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a home than a hotel. The lush garden and sparkling pool create such a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Cape Town. Ros, the host, is absolutely wonderful—thoughtful, attentive, but never intrusive. She makes sure every need is met without ever overstepping. I loved the honesty bar—it’s so convenient and adds a nice touch of independence. The coffee machine is top-notch; perfect for morning brews. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable. It’s one of those places you instantly want to return to. If you’re looking for a stylish, relaxed stay with genuine hospitality, this is it.

But what truly stole the show was the underground whisky bar, boasting an impressive selection that would satisfy even the most discerning connoisseur. Every detail, from the ambiance to the attention to service, felt curated with care. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. 10/10 without hesitation.

The building itself feels secure with reliable entry access to the canal area—perfect for evening strolls. That said, the unit could use a deeper clean occasionally—especially around the kitchen sink, microwave, and tile grout where some buildup is noticeable. While proper laundry detergent was provided, there was no dishwasher-safe soap included, which was a small inconvenience. Overall, the value for money is solid, especially for a central location. One minor suggestion: consider reversing the fridge door’s swing direction so it opens into the kitchen rather than toward the sleeping area. It’s an easy fix with basic tools and would significantly improve daily convenience. A thoughtful upgrade that makes a big difference.
