The staff are warm and attentive, the rooms are spotless and beautifully designed, and the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. It’s rare to find such a high-quality stay with excellent value—this place truly delivers. I’ll definitely be back.

Cleanliness is top-notch—every corner of the room and bathroom sparkles. Evenings bring a thoughtful turn-down service, and each time you return to bed, there’s a little surprise waiting on your pillow—such a sweet touch. Access to the property is secured by a simple doorbell system, which adds a real sense of safety. The property consists of several cozy cottages tucked just a few streets back, with secure parking available. Breakfast is included and can be enjoyed at a nearby restaurant for 250 ZAR per person, though additional meals are at your own expense. While the bedroom window is quite small, the rooftop terrace offers breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding hills—worth every bit of the 5-star rating. I’d highly recommend staying here for 3 to 5 nights to truly soak in the vibe. A hidden gem with great value and charm.

Right downstairs is a cozy Japanese restaurant, and next door is a Burger King—perfect for quick meals without leaving the building. The apartment itself is spacious and well-designed, offering great value for money. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The only downside is the breakfast, which is served as a half-self-service buffet—limited options and not particularly tasty. But overall, this hotel delivers excellent comfort, convenience, and quality. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

Staying at this hotel was a fantastic experience, especially with its prime location within a secure gated compound right next to the V&A Waterfront. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with all essentials for a comfortable short stay. The convenience of being steps away from shops, restaurants, and scenic waterfront views made it ideal for exploring Cape Town. The only minor drawback was some noise from seagulls on the island directly in front of the balcony—especially during early morning hours—but it didn’t significantly impact the overall enjoyment. For a peaceful getaway with excellent access to attractions and top-notch amenities, this property is a great choice.

Staying at De Waterkant Apartments was a fantastic experience. The apartment itself is spacious, well-designed, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Its location is unbeatable: just steps away from the city center, with easy access to public transport and all major attractions. The neighborhood is charming, safe, and full of character. That said, we did encounter a minor scam right outside our unit, so I’d recommend staying alert, especially in busy areas. Despite that small hiccup, the overall experience was outstanding. The value for money is excellent, and I’d definitely book again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cape Town.
Flatrock Suites
Staying at Flatrock Suites was a major disappointment. The hotel is located directly above a nightclub, and the loud music and constant laughter kept going until 6 a.m., making it nearly impossible to sleep. I booked a two-bedroom suite, but only one room had air conditioning— the other had no fan at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the heat. To make matters worse, the DSTV service didn’t work, and despite reaching out to the property management team, I received zero support or assistance. There were also no curtains or blinds on the main bedroom door, so sunlight flooded into the room by 5 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. Overall, the experience was poor, with multiple basic amenities failing and no effort from staff to resolve issues. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
