The best thing about this hotel was definitely the location—everything was so easy to reach. Right outside the door were metro and bus stops, making it simple to get around the city. The street itself is lively, with a great selection of shops including a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, and more. The rooms are on the smaller side, but since we were only using them to sleep, they were perfectly adequate. For the price, this was an excellent value-for-money option—great for a convenient, no-frills stay in Paris.

Transparent Marais
We recently stayed at Transparent Marais for six nights and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The apartment is perfectly located—just a 10-minute walk from Hôtel de Ville, with plenty of bus options making it easy to explore all parts of Paris. The unit was spotless, well-equipped, and featured a spacious, comfortable bedroom with an amazing sleeper sofa that easily ranked as the best we’ve ever slept on. The bathroom was stylish and functional, with excellent shower pressure. Nestled in a quiet courtyard, the place offers peace and privacy without sacrificing convenience. We traveled with a young child using a wheelchair, and the only step was at the entrance to the courtyard—everything else inside the apartment and bathroom was completely level, making it ideal for guests with mobility challenges. Marc, the host, was incredibly responsive and easy to reach whenever we needed help. His hospitality made a big difference. We highly recommend this apartment and would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Paris.
Chez Pépé Merle - Chambres d'hôtes Dans le Quartier du Père Lachaise
