The room was surprisingly spacious, comfortably fitting two guests with plenty of room to move around. Even the bathroom felt generous in size, though the sink counter was a bit high—probably designed for taller Europeans. Free bottled water wasn’t handed out automatically; instead, you had to hang a sign outside your door to request housekeeping. We stayed four nights and only received two bottles after two cleanings, so it’s important to know that you need to signal your request. On the upside, the hotel offers on-site parking at 30€ per day—convenient, though pricey. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and English communication flowed smoothly. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: right next to a Chinese supermarket, several authentic Chinese and Italian restaurants, plus a variety of local eateries and shopping centers. There’s even a 24-hour McDonald’s nearby, and the Christmas market is just steps away. Walking to the TV Tower takes about 9.5 km—perfect for a relaxed stroll along the way, passing by the Museum Island and other landmarks. Driving there is faster, but finding parking near major attractions can be a real challenge. Overall, despite minor quirks, this stay was highly satisfying. Great value, excellent service, and a prime location make this hotel a top pick for anyone visiting Berlin.

Staying at Locke at East Side Gallery in Berlin was an absolute highlight. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from Ostbahnhof, right next to Uber Arena with plenty of franchise restaurants nearby. There’s an Aldi and a Leve supermarket within walking distance, and the Leve store even stays open on Sundays, which is super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly—especially one female employee who truly stood out. She handled everything efficiently, with genuine warmth and professionalism, and she’s also stunningly beautiful—seriously, I’d recommend her by name if I could! The facilities are outstanding. Compared to older, run-down hotels, this place feels brand new and luxurious. High-quality amenities like shampoo, body wash, and a powerful hairdryer made every day feel special. Lighting, furniture, kitchenware—all thoughtfully designed and top-notch. Best of all? The view from the front-facing river is breathtaking, and the ground-floor restaurant and café offer fantastic views too. You can even stroll into the East Side Gallery daily for some art inspiration. I stayed for eight days, and every moment was enjoyable—no downsides whatsoever. If you’re visiting Berlin again, this is my first choice without hesitation.
