The kitchen faucet was extremely loose and wobbly, making it frustrating to use. While the open layout offers great potential, there are no rugs, so conversations were hard to hear over the echo. The couch and chairs were uncomfortable—definitely not ideal for relaxing. That said, the beds were actually very comfy, which was a bright spot. However, there were no wine glasses provided at all, which was a bit surprising. Overall, despite the spaciousness, the lack of maintenance and basic amenities really hurt the experience. If these issues were addressed, this could be a much better stay.

But step into the back courtyard, and it’s like stepping into a quiet oasis: a peaceful fountain, lush greenery, and soft jazz music drifting from the restaurant across the way at just the right volume. We stayed in Room 2, which opens directly onto this serene space—huge bed, relaxing bathtub, and total comfort. The only minor issue? The courtyard shares access with the neighboring bar, and since the doors look similar, a few people accidentally wandered in thinking it was part of the bar. Still, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the French Quarter. Being able to switch between the electric atmosphere of New Orleans’ famous celebrations and the calm of birds chirping by the fountain made our trip truly balanced. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s where we recharged, relaxed, and felt completely at home.
