I've stayed at Valo Hotel City several times for business trips, and it's consistently convenient for getting around. The hotel is close to supermarkets, restaurants, and a metro station—perfect for quick access to the city center. The room itself is clean and comfortable, with a good balance of space and functionality. However, the front desk service is painfully slow, especially during check-in and check-out hours. It also doesn't offer daily housekeeping, so you’ll need to bring your own toiletries or replenish supplies yourself. One major downside: if you leave something behind, don’t expect it to be kept or returned. They simply say 'nothing left' without further explanation—no follow-up, no chance of recovery. While these issues are frustrating, the location and overall value still make this a solid choice for travelers who prioritize convenience and budget over top-tier service. It’s not perfect, but for a reliable stopover in St. Petersburg, it gets the job done.

Staying at Kentron Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the metro, with a wide selection of cafes and shops nearby, including Вкусвилл and Пятерочка for quick grocery runs. Our room was spacious enough for two adults and two children, and every essential amenity was thoughtfully provided. The modern bathroom fixtures were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with crisp, white linens that made for a restful night’s sleep. From the cleanliness to the thoughtful touches, everything exceeded our expectations. We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay and will definitely return.

The hotel has its own private parking area in the courtyard—paid, yes, but so practical and stress-free. Inside, the place is immaculate: every room is spotless, freshly renovated, and stylishly decorated. The bathrooms come with high-quality toiletries, including shampoos and body washes—everything you need. The on-site restaurant is a real highlight, especially on Sundays when there’s live music. It’s perfect to simply walk downstairs, grab a drink or a bite, and enjoy the relaxed vibe. I genuinely hope to return. This is one of those rare stays that makes you want to come back again and again.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room came with all the basics—including air conditioning. The only things missing were a safe and bathrobe, but honestly, those aren’t dealbreakers when you’re only spending a few hours in the room each day. Cleaning happened just once during my four-night stay, but they did ask if I wanted it done, so no complaints there. I noticed the shampoo and shower gel weren’t refilled, which is a small oversight. There was some noise from a neighboring room, but again, not the hotel’s fault. Still, I’d give it a full 10/10 because of the value. At about 1,100 rubles per night, this is way better than what I used to get at capsule hostels—where the only plus was location, right near Moscow Station. This place offers comfort, convenience, and a great vibe for the price. Definitely worth it, and I’d come back without hesitation.
