After staying at countless hotels in New York, this Park Hyatt stands out as one of the most satisfying experiences I've had recently. Location-wise, while it’s not directly adjacent to a subway station, everything you’d want—restaurants, shopping, transit—is within easy walking distance. The convenience, combined with the high level of service and thoughtful touches, makes this a truly exceptional stay. There’s no door between the bathroom and bedroom, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience—especially with the included microwave, perfect for quick meals. While the restaurant menu prices were on the high side (a simple chicken salad with truffle fries and iced tea came to $90 before tip), it’s understandable given the location and upscale setting. That said, the real issue was the air conditioning malfunctioning during our visit—our room climbed to a sweltering 88°F, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We had to keep the windows open, which brought in a lot of city noise. The manager heard about our discomfort and responded with a thoughtful discount on our room rate—a gesture that really made up for the inconvenience. Despite the minor setbacks, the overall experience was outstanding. The location is unbeatable—steps away from shopping, dining, and public transit. The atmosphere, elegance, and level of service are top-tier. I’d absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in New York.
