Staying at The Marquee, Ascend Hotel Collection in New Orleans was a great experience. We booked a two-bedroom deluxe suite on the 16th floor—spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The only minor note was a bit of dust here and there, but honestly not a big deal. The ice machine in the fridge wasn’t working, but there was a perfectly functional one just down the hall—no hassle at all. Being up high made a big difference; we barely heard any street noise, though I’d still recommend staying cautious if walking around the area alone at night—it’s not the safest part after dark. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the garage left of the main entrance—the gate opens automatically, and you can park on the third floor (free parking!). Then head down to the lobby to check in. The staff were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful with local tips and recommendations. They did ask for a review a few times, but I politely declined each time without issue. We checked out the rooftop area: the pool is on the smaller side, and the fire pit was off—probably due to windy conditions, which makes sense for safety reasons. Still, it’s a nice spot to relax and enjoy the view. Overall, this place exceeded expectations. Great location, excellent service, and a really pleasant stay. I’d definitely come back.
