Freshness was evident in every bite, truly tasting like it came straight from the ocean. Located just steps away from public transit, getting around the city was a breeze. This hotel delivers on comfort, service, and value. If I’m ever back in Qingdao, this will be my first choice again. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere combined with the thoughtful touches made this stay feel like a real retreat. It’s rare to find such comfort, charm, and value in one place. The hallway and bathroom could use a little update, but the room itself was spotless—so clean that even with my usual pickiness about hygiene, I felt completely at ease. The bedding was exceptionally clean and super comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Best of all, the view from the window is fantastic—overlooking May Fourth Square with great cityscape views during the day and beautiful lights at night. It’s such a pleasant place to stay, especially considering how well-priced it is. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Staying at this homestay was an absolute delight. The staff, especially the hostesses, were incredibly warm and welcoming—so kind and attentive. They helped carry our large suitcases upstairs without hesitation and even shared local tips on where to eat and what to do. Every day, they checked in via WeChat to see if we needed cleaning or wanted fresh mineral water—such thoughtful touches! From the moment we walked in, the place felt cozy and inviting. The interior design is beautiful, with no unpleasant odors—just a pleasant, clean scent everywhere. There’s a washing machine, drying space, and even a small courtyard for parking, plus a dining area stocked with free snacks and fresh fruit. It’s about a 20-minute walk to First Beach, following a gentle downhill path—easy and scenic. Taxis are readily available for trips around town. While the sea this year had some green algae, especially at First Beach, Third Beach is cleaner and less crowded—worth considering. The restaurant across the street, Liuyue Liu, serves amazing food at great value—our family of three had one bowl of sea worm rice and one side dish and were completely full. Much cheaper than the seafood spots right below. I’d definitely book here again next time I visit Qingdao. It’s perfectly located near the zoo, Taiping Mountain, and the cable car ride—so much fun for families!

We're from Rizhao and came to Qingdao for our wedding photoshoot. Locals recommended this hotel, saying it had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. It's only about a 1-kilometer walk from the photo location—super convenient for daily trips. We stayed two nights, and every time we returned in the evening, the room was already spotlessly cleaned by housekeeping. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome right away. Cleanliness is top-notch—no dust, no mess, just fresh and tidy. Even though the rooms are compact, they’re well-equipped with everything you need: good lighting, comfy bed, functional bathroom, and reliable Wi-Fi. It’s a small hotel, but truly has all the essentials. For anyone visiting Qingdao on a budget or looking for a quiet, clean base near shooting spots, this is a solid choice. Great value, genuine hospitality, and zero regrets.

I had an amazing stay at Mojia Apartment Qingdao Taidong Dayuecheng, and I must give a huge shoutout to the host for their incredible support! I accidentally double-booked two different room types and canceled one after check-in, which caused the app to incorrectly mark my booking as unoccupied. The system glitch was frustrating, but the manager stepped in immediately—offering a free room upgrade and arranging early check-in without hesitation. Their professionalism and kindness truly turned a stressful situation into a smooth, positive experience. The room itself was spotless, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job—every corner was cleaned meticulously. What really stood out was the excellent soundproofing; even with the city lights below, it was so quiet at night that you could barely hear any outside noise. At night, when the lights went off, the view of downtown Qingdao was breathtaking—the skyline glittered like stars. It felt like being on top of the world. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way: from warm service to stunning views and top-tier cleanliness. The Lu Xun Park on Qinyu Road is literally a 5-minute stroll, and the Navy Museum is directly across the street. It’s only a 7-8 minute walk to the Underwater World, and the historic Zhanshao Pier is about 10-12 minutes away. Even the trendy Daxue Road district is just a quick 5-minute walk. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and surprisingly affordable for such a great location. I couldn’t believe how good the value was—this place offers comfort, convenience, and charm all in one. Highly recommend for travelers who want to explore Qingdao without the hassle of long commutes.

InterContinental Qingdao
Staying at InterContinental Qingdao was a delightful surprise! The front desk staff went above and beyond by upgrading me to a sea view room—though it wasn’t on the highest floor, the ocean views were still stunning and made the stay very enjoyable. The fitness center has well-maintained equipment, and although I didn’t get a chance to swim due to time constraints, the pool looked clean and inviting. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Haixin Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient. I especially want to thank the friendly front desk agent who checked me in (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) and Jennifer at check-out for her exceptional attention to detail—she even helped extend my checkout time without hassle. The service, comfort, and location all exceeded expectations. This is definitely a hotel I’d recommend and return to.
