Staying at this hotel was a delightful surprise—despite being in the heart of Umeda, the moment I stepped inside, I noticed how peaceful and quiet it actually was. The best part? There's a halal restaurant on the second floor of the adjacent mall, which made meal planning so much easier. I even tried the coffee and breakfast at the 11th-floor restaurant—really enjoyable, especially with that morning view. It takes about ten minutes to walk to Umeda Station, which is totally manageable for daily commutes. But what really blew me away was the Suntory whiskey exhibition inside the same mall, complete with a tasting bar. As a whiskey enthusiast, I couldn’t believe my luck—tried everything from Yamazaki and Hakushu to the newly released AO Bi, plus several other local and limited editions. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed tasting session. If you're into whiskies, this is a must-visit. Not only is the hotel comfortable and well-located, but the whole experience feels like an unexpected bonus. Highly recommended for both comfort and unique local flavor.

The moment we opened the door, we were faced with a steep staircase—very intimidating for young kids, who were visibly scared and hesitant to climb. Once inside the room, we noticed the floor was noticeably slanted, which raised concerns about the building’s structural stability and earthquake resistance. The worst part? The air conditioner was directly above the bed, blasting cold air non-stop. I ended up with a sore throat and even developed a fever from the extreme chill. It wasn’t just cool—it felt freezing. While the location is great (a quick walk to Umeda Station), the room design needs serious improvement, especially the AC placement. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations despite the convenient spot. Not worth it if you’re traveling with children or sensitive to cold.

Cleanliness is top-notch, as expected from Japanese standards; every corner felt spotless, which really stood out. Location-wise, it’s perfectly situated in the heart of the city. Just 200 meters from the subway entrance, you can easily access major attractions. Right outside the station is a long street packed with shops and food stalls—kind of like an open-air market, very lively and fun to explore. Within 500 meters, you’ll find one of Osaka’s most beautiful rivers, perfect for a relaxing walk. And if you keep going another 4 kilometers, you’ll reach Osaka Castle—great for a scenic stroll with plenty of stops along the way. The staff were a highlight too—there was a young Chinese-speaking guy at the front desk who’s lived in Japan for 15 years. He was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and pleasant. Breakfast was simple but satisfying—basic and budget-friendly, ideal for travelers looking for something quick and no-frills. Overall, this place offers excellent value, convenience, and comfort in a prime location. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Osaka on a budget or seeking a hassle-free stay.

Still, once you’re inside, it feels like a hidden gem. I was happy to get a complimentary drink upon arrival—a nice touch! The champagne in-room is paid, but that’s expected. One downside: the on-site omakase dinner was disappointing—way too bland and not worth the price. I’d skip it if I were you. Overall, though, everything else hit the mark—the ambiance, design, cleanliness, and service were all excellent. It’s definitely a place I’d stay again, especially for travelers who appreciate character and charm over cookie-cutter hotels.
