Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

The lounge afternoon tea setup is stunning, and despite being fully booked during the holiday period and having limited staff, the team still managed to seat us comfortably and deliver coffee without delay—truly commendable effort under pressure. The next morning, I tried to sleep in but was disturbed by ongoing construction noise. They even followed up later via WeChat to confirm whether the noise had affected my rest. That level of care and attention is rare these days. The service went above and beyond, making the entire stay incredibly comfortable and stress-free. Highly recommend this hotel for both business travelers and solo visitors alike.
Echarm Hotel
As a visitor from Taiwan, I was thrilled to return to Xiamen for my second visit, staying here for three nights during the summer holiday (I previously stayed in room R720). This time I was in room R627, and while the overall experience was still excellent, there was one small downside—the bathroom had a lingering urine smell that never fully dissipated. I’d recommend checking ventilation or cleaning protocols in that area. However, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic—freshly made noodles with a great taste and a wide variety of options. It felt like a real treat each morning. The hotel is also super convenient for exploring local eats: just a short bus ride away from Malong She Food Street, and even closer to Dianqian Qingshui Temple and Chaotian Temple, both located in vibrant urban villages packed with delicious street food. If I ever come back to Xiamen, I’ll definitely choose Echarm Hotel Torch Garden Station again—it’s well-located, comfortable, and offers great value. Highly recommended!
