I spent two wonderful nights in the stunning Sunlover's Suite at the end of September 2025, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The room is spacious and beautifully designed, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the pristine white sands of Camps Bay Beach—just breathtaking. The suite features high-end furnishings, including a plush king-size bed, a generous walk-in closet, and an elegantly integrated bathroom with a large shower and a freestanding bathtub that adds a touch of luxury. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a stove, microwave, and ample fridge space—perfect for preparing meals during your stay. The hosts, Thobeka from Guest Relations and Elri, the manager, were incredibly welcoming and offered thoughtful recommendations for local dining spots and nearby tours. I also want to thank the housekeeping team—they kept everything spotless and well-maintained throughout my visit. From start to finish, I felt truly at home, pampered, and well taken care of. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s a highlight of my trip. I’ll definitely be back.

And then there are the resident cats: if you're lucky, they’ll come visit you on the terrace. Every morning, you’re greeted by the flight of Hagedas ducks overhead, as you enjoy a crisp rusk on the balcony. It’s hard to leave—because here, everything you need for happiness already exists. But stepping through the gate also opens the door to adventure. Who will you meet on the Frederick Steps today? What story will that person share? How many helmeted guinea fowl will call out from Albert Road as you pass by? And what breakfast awaits at Blue Café on Brownlow Road—perhaps with a view of paragliders dancing above Lion’s Head or the busy kitchen life, accompanied by creaking wooden floors, a cozy playlist, and smiles from the staff? Then, a visit to Caley Chiropractic in Kloof Nek Road for an extra endorphin boost before fully diving into the rhythm of the city, the mountain, and the Atlantic. This whole package—serenity, comfort, discovery—is exactly what I’d recommend, especially in winter (though I’m still warm-hearted enough to say that even when it’s cold!).
