Breakfast was a highlight—served by local favorites with a delicious variety of treats, including some of the best donuts we’ve ever had. And then there’s Desti—the sweetest little pup who greets guests with love and cuddles that instantly warm your heart. We genuinely looked forward to seeing her each morning. This place was a real gem! The value for money was outstanding—clean, stylishly decorated, and just plain welcoming. My only concern was the parking situation. Extra parking was located down a narrow alley, and it wasn’t clear whether I needed to pay the host for a reserved spot or if access was free. There didn’t seem to be enough spaces, which made me a little anxious. Luckily, I managed to park on the street, but it wasn’t ideal. Still, overall, I couldn’t be happier with my stay. I wish we’d booked a longer visit—this place would’ve been perfect for a weekend getaway or even a week-long retreat. Just add some outdoor furniture to that balcony, and it’d be an absolute dream for morning coffee or sunset views.

The service at Vandyke Bed & Beverage was absolutely terrible. My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday evening for a drink — we’re locals, so we weren’t even strangers to the place. There were already four people at the bar when we arrived: another couple and then a third couple walked in after us. When we came in, the bartender was serving the first couple. We naturally assumed we’d be next — but instead, he skipped right ahead to serve the couple who had just walked in behind us. Then, after that, he spent nearly five minutes clearing the dishwasher while casually answering questions from the first couple about cocktail recipes. Not once did he acknowledge us. We timed it — ten full minutes passed with zero interaction. Honestly, we didn’t know what his issue was, but we won’t be coming back. For a place that claims to offer hospitality, this experience was a complete letdown.
